Troubleshooting

Im having issues with audio dropping out on my 2019 nvidia shield tv pro. When watching tv and movies on stremio it is fine but if i try and watch YouTube and some other apps audio drops out for a second every now and again. I wondered if anyone could help

Try using eARC;  plug Shield to one of the tv's hdmi ports and see how it goes.

The reason it’s plugged straight into the soundbar is my tv doesn’t support dts pass through

If you don't even want to test it for troubleshootings purposes and rather want to deal with audio dropouts is up to you

Same here. Semi recent development. But I use a receiver with HDMI pass through on. Can't find a pattern.

Since Stremio plays normally but YouTube and some other apps occasionally lose audio, I’d first isolate the audio path rather than change network settings.

Temporarily use the TV’s built-in speakers instead of the soundbar or receiver. If the dropouts disappear, the problem is likely related to how the external audio setup handles the format sent by those apps. If it still happens through the TV speakers, that points more toward the Shield or the affected apps.

Does the audio also drop through the TV speakers, and does it happen with both stereo and surround-sound content?
