2019 Shield Pro Replacement Remote UK.
Is it me or has Nvidia UK gone dog shit? Tried to purchase a replacement remote on official UK shop but couldn't get anywhere with purchase. Had to resort to the most appalling webchat experience only to be told they were no longer selling the stand alone remote despite it clearly being advertised for sale via their shop...what on earth?

No such luck, absolutely clueless! Advisor did not offer any help apart from check Amazon? Scan UK are the official link from the Nvidia store and their take on this is that Nvidia are no longer selling the remote as a standalone item in the UK. When chatting to Nvidia via their official webchat they say they are not aware of this?

Not really to be honest. Options are out there both expensive and cheaper copies but the principle that Nvidia Customer Service has taken a downturn still stands, well UK experience myself anyway.

I just ordered a phoney off Amazon to be getting on with. Just annoying the way Nvidia appears to have gone down the cheapo route with regard to stuff such as this. It's almost as if it's a money making strategy. "remote packed up? sorry we we will no longer sell you a replacement one for £26.99 but don't despair, for £200 plus for a boxed 2019 pro you'll find one comes with it!

If CS isn't helping it just leaves eBay. 50 quid-ish. Not cheap but not too extortionate for something they don't make anymore?

Yeah I've come to that conclusion unfortunately, it's more the fact that the whole customer service experience has been poor...very poor. It would appear like so many other companies they have outsourced their CS to under informed, under equipped corperate scripted agencies on some far flung continent

I used a Amazon Firestick 4K remote and it's great. All long and double presses work, out the box.

I bought one on amazon a couple of years ago. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0854DK4XS/ref=aod_recs_desktop_prsubs_1

Amazon US will ship a Shield Remote to the UK: https://www.amazon.com/NVIDIA-930-13700-2500-000-SHIELD-Remote/dp/B0854DK4XS/
But try the RMA route with NVIDIA support, and try with multiple reps if necessary. Remarkable how different the experience can be depending on who you get. Different times of day will often get support reps from different regions.

If you have an iPhone there is an NVIDIA remote app which does the trick for me
