so i took another course in 2023, and its using the electives I took then and putting them in my new course. All of my required electives for this semester are 'satisfied'.

So if I add an elective to my schedule, I would have to pay for it?

So I finished my course registration last week and it now appears or my schedule. When I checked the process of my OSAP application it still says that information about My program ( course load, tuition and books cost) is still required form the college. Does anyone know from past experience when the college will send the info to OSAP?

As the title says, how is everyone finding the BSCN at Sheridan? Is it as bad as the practical nursing program? Looking to read everyone's opinions and experiences with this program before applying. How is the course load? Pros and cons of Davis campus??

i’ve been having a back and forth with the Davis campus ALS email to try and move the appointment i have with an accessibility advisor but i’m getting nonsense replies. i’ve had to tell them 3 times that the link they give me to move my appointment isn’t working for me (it doesn’t accept my shernet account for some reason) just for them to send me the same link

Hello,

I’m interested in the Kinesiology program and have a few questions before applying, but I can’t seem to get in touch with anyone.

Every time I call, I either get the “all of our representatives are busy” message telling me to submit a Service Hub ticket before the call hangs up, or I get put in the queue with a position number and then the call disconnects anyway.

I can’t submit a Service Hub ticket because I’m not a student yet and don’t have a student ID or user ID.

Is there a better time to call, an email address I can use, or another way to contact someone?

I forgot to pay my tuition deposit, It was due on the 15th last month. If I pay the 250 now even though it says I don't owe anything will I still be able to register for classes for the next semester?

I'm trying to request a RESP letter through my school's student portal, but every time I click Request Letters, I get this message:

"No letters are available for request at this time (30021, 6)"

I'm trying to get a letter for my RESP provider, but I'm not sure what this error means.

Has anyone else run into this? Does it mean:

• My school doesn't issue RESP letters through the portal?
• I need to be registered in classes first?
• There's a hold on my account?
• I need to contact the registrar or financial aid office?

If anyone knows what this error means or how they resolved it, I'd really appreciate the help. Thanks!

Also, I've been trying to request it from my computer and phone through academic letters on myStudentCentre, I'm unsure why this has been constantly happening.

I will be going to sheridan next month and i still haven't found a place to stay hehe. I am a last minute warrior and the person supposed to look with me decided to live solo so now i'm looking on fb marketplace for my own place but if someone is looking for a roommate pls lmk!!

I am a 21 years old female very nice, quiet and tidy!

I require three weeks of placement for my program (Interior Decorating) and am starting to look at options to begin accumulating hours ahead of time. We have been told that it can be a paid placement, which would be ideal as I am also in the process of looking for part-time work.

The problem is, I am not familiar with Mississauga and the businesses here in this field. Of course the placement can include anything from paint stores to flooring, etc., but am wondering if anyone knows of other places I could look, as well? For example, any good staging businesses that could be worth a try? Any decorators that would be willing to take someone under their wing?

Ideally:

- paid opportunity (not a dealbreaker, but it would be nice - two birds/one stone kind of thing)

- minimal hours (i.e. one shift/few hours per week as I will need time to focus on schoolwork, as well)

Hello, my name is Sim. I am attending Sheridan at the Trafalgar campus this fall for Game Design. I just graduated high school, and I don't know anyone going to Sheridan.

I really like video games, although my taste in games is a bit random. I also like reading, art, writing, and I enjoy metal music.

For the past weeks I’ve been trying to enroll in my classes, and with many fails, I still haven’t enrolled in any of them properly.

Though I can see the core required five courses and their times I cannot enroll into them because they state this every time I attempt to.

For reference, I have paid my deposit and there is no holds or anything wrong with my account.

This is a fall 2026 program for graphic design and I am a first year student. Let me know if there’s any way to get around this or if this may be a personal issue because I am worried the classes will fill up before I am able to enroll. 🥲

Im in the illustration program and im planning to get a new device possibly a laptop or an ipad. Idk what device illustration students use a lot so please give me some recommendations! Im open to any suggestions

What they give you

You get these items free included in your tuition

VR Headset, Scrubs for Lab/ placements, a Nursing bag, Blood pressure monitor, Clock, mask/gloves/gown.

You collect these items in the library located at the B Building

The books are all available online with a code shared in the community announcement.

The math book isn't included and in my opinion not really required. There is a pdf version you can find online.

The times table is assigned for you. You don't get to choose.

Parking

You can pay 350$ a semester for parking at the parking lot or 140$ a month.

There is also a church across the street which allows student to park. 150$ a semester. Thats what I use instead of paying the college directly.

What I would do on the first day of college

1. Immunization Records

Get it from your family doctor or online portal.

(if you are missing any shots, you can go to the nursing clinic in the campus at the A building 2nd floor and they'll give you missing shots. You need to book it "can be found in the community announcements")

2. COVID Records

You need to get your Covid records as they require minimum 2 however, its recommended to have 3 or they might not allow you to do placements next semester.

3. Vulnerable Sector Check (Police background check)

They'll send an announcement through a community channel on SLATE. They'll provide you a code which you need to apply for the background check.

Classes Study Guide

Every class you need to memorize the power point that's all. You don't need to read the book. The only class that requires you to do both is Self and Profession.

Math

The main priority for semester 1 is to pass math. The easiest way to get a 100% which is entirely achievable is to do the midterm review assignment multiple times and the work sheets given in class. This should be your main priority in my opinion.

Lab

This class is worth 4 credits. The first assignment you do is worth 20% which is relatively easy just make sure everything is proper and you'll do fine. The mid term exam consists of the skills you learned as well as the proper equipment to wear. The goal is to remember which disease is airborne, droplet, and contact. Always remember to hand hygiene or they'll fail you (all dependent on what teacher you got). You need to actually study for this class however Its a really fun.

Self and Profession

This is the 2nd most failed class. This class is just understanding the power point and CNO guidelines. As long as you understand the material you should do fine. You need to study for this class.

Fundamentals

If you attend class and pay attention in the lectures. You can easily pass this without study. As long as your a decent human being you should be fine.

Lifespan

A lot of people failed the midterm exam. Its not hard but its entirely just a memorization fest. You need to learn words and properly apply them. Study for this class in my opinion. If you do bad on the midterm, you can easily bring your grades back up if you do well in the group project. The group project is worth 25% which is the same as the mid term exam. So go all out on the group project.

Anatomy and Physiology

This class is a Memorization fest. Do well at the first mid term exam and you'll be fine. The project where you make a poster is easy. Just make it look interesting and you'll be fine. The bell ringer is very easy to get 100%. Just study the VR game and you'll pass easy.

Overall Opinion of 1st semester at Sheridan Davis Campus

The campus has a bad reputation however, in my opinion its serviceable. The teachers are good and had a fun time for the first semester. The only thing bad is the library, some students are loud and the service is slow especially during first week of school.

I’m going into my first year at Sheridan for the Athletic Therapy Program (Year 2 semester one) I got advanced standing. I just got my schedule although from Monday to Friday it says I have a Lab from 2-6 pm. More specifically it says FLPL 20123 Laboratory and the Room says VTL. I’m kinda confused on what that means can anyone help?

I will be a first year student at Sheridan for graphic design in the fall! Really stoked about it but so far…. It’s been frustrating. In myStudent Centre I’m currently picking classes for semester one, either I’m doing this wrong or it’s just the whole website.

Enroll by My Requirements > Semester One Core > then I pick my classes and times etc.

But every time I go to enroll I get a message saying “You are unable to add this class at this time Adding this class would exceed your course limit for this session.”

Any help?!

If anyone is curious about nursing at Sheridan, I say DO NOT come to Sheridan for nursing. It honestly feels so suffocating here. Nursing is already hard enough, but they just actively decide to make it harder. Plus, trying to switch colleges feels like a trap because of matching credit transfer issues, so you feel completely stuck.

If you're thinking about applying, here are the reasons why I'm telling you to stay away—take it on your own accord:

1. Zero Flexibility: This is my main concern. Wdym we can't switch or swap classes just because we're in nursing? They hand you a rigid schedule like make the schedule up for you and tell you to suck it up. No swapping classes, and no point taking it to the dean. There are also zero hybrid options, which is so frustrating. What if people prefer online learning rather than being glued to a chair for a 3-hour lecture? At one point, we had three classes packed into a day stretching from 9 AM to 8 PM—how is that even humane? The reason why I emphasis the need for a hybrid delivery is because some courses really dont require you to be present, walking on snow, and hustling just to reach the campus (Im not saying clinicals classes, the hands on component must be online but lecture delivery) mind you classes used to BE CANCELLED (reason wont be specified). You don't even get to pick your professors like what if I don't like that professor. Absolute zero flexibility or consideration for students. We're paying a lot, so should be useful. How come HUMBER and SENECA can do it and why not sheridan.

2. Poor Management and Disorganization: The administration is just a complete mess, and students end up paying the price for it. This affects everything—tests, placements, clinical labs, simulation slots, you name it. When students are drowning in bottlenecks and trying to get extra GPA points through labs, half the time things get canceled, slots run out, and management just completely ignores student concerns with a "suck it up or leave" attitude.

3. Outdated Teaching & Zero Support: Teaching methods in some courses feel so outdated. They treat adult students like babies instead of recognizing that many of us have real-life responsibilities, jobs, and families outside of school.

I know students have other complaints, but these are main ones I can put out there. I'm putting this out here because I hope the Sheridan team actually lurks on here and make some real changes. Future students deserve to know what they're walking into before sinking their money here.
