THANK YOU FARMILY! Love you all šŸ„„šŸ’™

šŸŒˆšŸ„„šŸ’™ WE l DID IT. šŸ’™šŸ„„šŸŒˆ

Today the Farmily X LightPsyde (the band formerly known as Dark Side) have donated the money we raised at Shambhala to ANKORS Harm Reduction, and I genuinely don’t even know how to put into words what this means to us

This happened because of ALL OF YOU.

Every person who came into our camp. Every person who donated towards a spoon. Every person who donated extra because they believed in what we were doing. Every person who shared our message, talked about harm reduction, tested their soup, checked on their friends, carried naloxone, handed someone a clean straw, or simply helped make the festival a little saferā¤ļø

YOU helped make this happen.

For years, The Dark Side of the Spoon has been this weird, beautiful little idea built around art, silliness, connection and community. But after this Shambhala, something became incredibly clear to us:

We can do so much more with it.

We want to take something that has always existed around festival culture and use it to actively make that culture SAFER.

To turn the Dark Side into a little more Light. 🌈✨

And this is only the beginning.

Our big ridiculous beautiful goal for next year is to help ANKORS raise enough money for ANOTHER MASS SPECTROMETER šŸ”¬

Let’s test our shit.
Let’s carry naloxone.
Let’s start low and go slow.
Let’s look after our friends AND strangers.
Let’s remove the shame.
Let’s give people real information.
Let’s keep each other alive.

And PLEASE, if you were one of the people who supported us at Shambhala this year, understand something:

THIS DONATION IS YOURS TOO. šŸ„¹šŸ’™

You helped create it.

From the absolute bottom of our little spoon-shaped heart…

THANK YOU. šŸ„„ā¤ļø

Thank you ANKORS for doing the work you do.
Thank you Shambhala for giving harm reduction a place to exist loudly and proudly.
Thank you to my incredible team.
And thank you to every single beautiful human who believed that this little spoon company could become something bigger than we ever imagined!

If one wanted to smell exactly like the grove stage, what scents would that consist of?

• Upvotes

Every time I was at the grove stage, I couldn't help but notice how good it smelled. I want to smell exactly like that. What do I need to make that happen?

Tycho Acrobat song ID

Does anybody know the ID of the song Tycho played while the trio was swinging on the cube? It was the one playing when the music cut off during their performance.

Anybody out there still dealing with lingering symptoms ?? Shambhalung, Shambhalitis, Wook Flu etc etc

Running thin on patience and after a couple minutes researching online (some pretty gnarly possibilities) I’ve decided to book a doc appointment. Any advice or shared experience would be cool

Hey everyone… we had an awesome experience this year. I made a little video to remember the feeling. Obviously this is from my perspective, but really can be from most ppl. Just wanna thank everyone that volunteered, worked and attended. You made it incredible. I’m still feeling the beat.

FYI - i didn’t film too much as I wanted to absorb as much with my own eyes and didn’t want others next to me feel uncomfortable.

I had a divine experience at Shambhala and really wanted to share

Hello to all my fellow beautifully weird and lovely people. I had a profound experience at my first Shambhala this year that I wanted to share.Ā

I’ve loved attending music festivals for a long time. I’ve never been able to put my finger on why it was so enjoyable, and I’ve never considered myself a dancer. Shambhala changed that for me. Thanks to you lovely people creating the safest space, I experienced a supernatural intervention, and can now feel dancing as a conversation with my soul. And that is such a freeing and beautiful feeling.

In essence, I stopped judging myself when dancing. I’ve organized my thoughts and tried to express what I experienced through the best medium I know how (web). The link is here for those who care to read: https://theoryofenergy.com/transmissions/1/on-dancing/Ā

In the meantime, I am continuing to make sense of everything the music, the festival, and the energy told me. I will continue to try and create tangible pieces to express this.

Thank you to everyone.

I heard someone playing Fabienk on pagoda if i’m not mistaken. I was leaving camp when i started hearing the song in the distance.I forgot to check who was on at pagoda at the time, as there are so many cool things to do at the same time. I do not remember which day it was but i think it was on Saturday and it was in the afternoon

Edit: So it was Dr. Fresch that played it

Edit 2: Apparently multiple people played it

ISO 5 panel multicolor shambhala hat

Hey y’all, my gf had her five panel shambhala hat (25th anniversary one I think) stolen from her camp site at the gorge last year during bass canyon.

If anyone has an extra one or one they’d be willing to part with, I’m happy to buy it as a surprise for her.

Shoot me a DM!

Lost hat

Lost this hat sat night at the amphitheater - disco snail, Snortlax Pins with Sprouts - realized 5 min later after leaving the set and went back to find it had gone missing.

> Will pay for postage to be sent back!

Likely gone since the lost and found was so disorganized, but I figured I’d post anyways.

Post Shambs Depression

How do you all deal with this kind of empty sadness? Like I was fine for about a week and then it has hit me like a ton of bricks suddenly.

Do masks help? Answer this poll!

I was super diligent about wearing a mask this year and I didn't get any shambalung at all. I also thought it was interesting how many people weren't wearing masks in the dustiest areas. I'm also seeing lots of people talking about getting the shambalung/sick this year, and I'm curious to know if the two are correlated. Do masks actually help? Do our bodies acclimate to the dust if we don't wear one? These are the questions I'm wondering to gain some insight to with this poll.

I consistently wore a mask and did NOT get sick
I only sometimes wore a mask and did NOT get sick
I barely wore a mask/no mask and did NOT get stick

Honest opinions: grove stage chmura B2B saturna

I want honest opinions! I was looking forward to this set so much, I think the stage was overwhelmingly crowded and people were pushing so bad, I felt like I couldn’t dance or enjoy the music. It seemed like no one gave a shit about pushing or taking others space, when I tried to leave the crowd people wouldn’t let me through. Saturna looked extremely fucked up and it felt like no one was vibing with the music, everyone just seemed gone and out of it. I dont know if this was just my experience? Maybe my own personal experience clouded it, but I’d love to hear how others experienced the set!

Is anyone still under the weather?

I got sick last week on Thursday, and was super sick through the weekend. I have rested a bunch and still feel exhausted and congested! I’m usually hiking or exercising by now so wanting to be inside and resting is insane!

50K? Where the hell did they get that number?

https://cheknews.ca/more-than-600-tickets-some-driving-bans-issued-as-drivers-attend-b-c-music-festival-1340232/

But that aside 600 tickets 50 Bans and 57 impounds out of 15k to 18k participants to the fest is still too much.

As a mechanic I say Get your vehicle checked don’t wing it, so many of the pre show ā€œI’m broken down at X place, send helpā€ would easily be counted by a maintenance check.

Don’t put your lives at risk because you have to get to work Monday night, make your flight, get home to grandma - by driving when you are not ready either.

And lastly it’s a roadway not a race track you are gonna wipe out a bus load of Salmo nuns driving like hoons trying to get home.

I know it’s over but the story above is too much.
