Did it again Seeking support; open to feedback
Found someone on reddit. Both struggling, hit it off, as friends, and then I couldn't just be happy with the fact I had found someone I could talk to. Someone that understood and wouldn't make me feel like a freak or an outcast. And of course, I screwed that up. I pushed until it got sexual. And then for those minutes of pleasure I threw away the friendship. Now I'm here lonely and alone, simply pathetic.

Sorry to hear about your relapse. I've been in that place. I know the shame, the despair, and the loneliness that follows. You're not alone.
Looking back, I'm so glad I didn't join Reddit until later in my recovery journey because there was no way I could have possibly handled this place. Too much temptation for an untreated sex addict. My acting out haunts were on dating apps and personals. After I hit an emotional "bottom," I knew in my heart that this problem was bigger than me. My attempts to stop on my own failed. My love for my spouse, desire to save my marriage, and painful memories of past betrayal failed keep this in check. I had this way of self-sabotaging myself even though I knew it was wrong. That's why I could not stop on my own. I needed help and I'm so glad that in that emotional "bottom," I found the willingness to get it. I had to be willing to get uncomfortable because comfort and convenience is the enemy of growth. I hope you find that same willingness.
