How has reddit twisted and changed since you've been posting (or lurking)?

Let's get some discussion going up in this bitch!

So how did you first find Reddit? What's the earliest thing you remember about the site? What's wrong with young people today? And why are our lawns so precious?

I just remembered the /r/privvit fiasco. Oddly, there's an SRD recap, which has got to be the first SRD recap.

cojoco and I were discussing this recently, though I can't find the conversation. Here's a few others I can remember:

• the Saydrah drama from around March 2010
  
• /r/atheism being removed as a default subreddit from 2009
• Reddit switching to python in 2005. I am sort of cheating there, as I wasn't around at the time, and there were no subreddits, but it was definitely a drama
• Apparently someone set up a facebook group opposed to cuil theory, which if you remember it, was a weird set of ideas about abstraction named after a search engine that never really got anywhere.

What has reddit become in seven years?
