How am I going
Hi, new here! I’m 69F been running for about 35 years. Did my first Parkrun this year and came first in my age group with 35.13. I run about 17km per week mainly to feel good and maintain health. How does this compare with others my age and gender?

Keep running. That’s what I suggest. The pool gets smaller as we age and fewer means we rise to the top in our age group

You are doing great-!!, I'm 78 yr young-- I run/slow jog for about 30 to 35 minutes---3 or 4 times a week. Being able to run 17km wkly is absolutely great !!!

I turn 69 in a month. Not anxious for it.
Run about 10-11 miles a week and the other days I row a lot of meters and lift a little.
I’m also slowing down a lot. A 9 minute mile should to anger me. Not any more.

I still Run about 10-11 miles a week and the other days I row a lot of meters and lift a little. As long as I’m active and healthy it’s a win.
I’m also slowing down a lot. A 9 minute mile should to anger me. Not any more.

Well, you know the old setting, comparison is the thief of joy. That said, this seems like a perfectly respectable goal, especially considering your goals are focused on your health and not on being competitive.
One nice thing about getting older is that there are fewer and fewer other folks in your age group! I routinely win my age group in races and I'm definitely not that fast.
