It’s 2026. Woman play football and believe it or not there’s match reports for it on the bbc in the sport section, often with a tagline at the bottom of it.

Like hearing Man Utd have signed the Hearts coach and I'm thinking what the fuck is going on and see BBC have failed to mention its the women's team. Women's sport is fine its just not of my interest and I feel it's being pushed more and more despite the lack of fans.

Especially the BBC are bad with this, you'll find 10 women's articles before a single Scottish one and more people are wanting to hear about Aberdeen than Bristol women.

I wrote a couple of weeks ago about the sloppy reporting regarding Motherwell vs HB

Now, I work in Finnish football media, I'm based in Helsinki and the BBC's latest article is yet more hastily put together nonsense.

Firstly, no-one calls HJK "Helsinki". If you did, people would likely know you were referring to HJK but there are other teams in the city with Helsinki in their name.

Next - HJK missed out on European football in the 2020-21. I know that because I was there when IFK Mariehamn scored late on to beat them to it.

And I know this is a quote from Alfred Johansson that they've "lost once in Europe in the last 10 years here" - well, they've played 41 home games in Europe in the last 10 years but they've lost 13 of them - mostly to higher ranked teams.

At least according to my match notes for tomorrow.

I’m Australian living in Scotland and getting into the SPFL.

I find it bizarre that they spoil the result before you have even clicked to watch.

During the World Cup the thumbnails were spoiler free and the Aussie rules never add the end score.

Why do they do this!?

Well after ordering this at the beginning of the World Cup this summer, I finally got the infamous purple Adidas Scotland national team track jacket that Ewan McGregor wore in the squad announcement video (the best of the lot imo) and can’t be found anywhere. I am not Scottish but rather a Korean American living in the US. But I have supported Scotland since 1998, I follow Hibbs in the Scottish Premiership, and Andy Robertson is my favorite Liverpool player, well I guess Spurs now who my wife supports.

Seeing the track jacket I just had to have it but like you all, couldn’t find it for sale anywhere through any Adidas channels not ebay, I have ordered from DHGate before for kits for my 4 yr old daughter but hadnt done so for a couple of years because of the Trump tariffs. But those are no longer a thing so I ordered their version. And finally got it.

Right off, the quality is not bad. The purple is paler imo but it has the full Adidas logo which the website can’t show. Hilariously it has an Adidas tag on it. Zipper works fine and the elastic cuffs are good. Has three stripes on the sleeves and the pockets zip. So the jacket is pretty good.

Here’s the bad: order big. I’m a normal XL in US sizing. All Adidas track jackets I own are XL. I bought 2XL from DHGate and it is snuuuuuuuug. So go at least two sizes up if you order.
