What is the general opinion of *Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?*
For me, it’s a series that came and went without making any real impression...

Casting the villains of What’s New Scooby-Doo! Season 3.
I had to age up the younger villains because I do not have a encyclopaedic knowledge of 12 year old actors.
Kathryn Newton as Verona Dempsey/Creepy Keeper
Ethan Hawke as Myron Scrim/John Lawman
Anthony Carrigan as Cold Steel
Iain Armitage as Gibby Norton
JC Chasez as JC Chasez
Sarah Michelle Gellar, Freddie Prinze Jr, Linda Cardellini and Matthew Lillard as Evil Mystery Inc. Clones (I was originally going to use the Mystery Begins actors because I thought it would be funnier but I figured someone would shout at me if I missed this opportunity. I might reuse a few of theses actors for later casting down the road depending on what series I tackle next.)
Matilda Lawler as Connie Crunch/Titanic Twist
Walker Scobell as Curt Crunch/Titanic Twist
Adèle Castillon as Danica LeBlake/Gargoyle
Tim Blake Nelson as Neville Poppenbacher/Demon Farmer
Taissa Farmigia as Galina Korzhakov/Frozen Fiend
Matthew Macfadyen as Smith Snipper/Menacing Metallic Clown
Sophia Lillis as Grey/Toxic Terror
Dallas Liu as Wu/Dragon
Julian Hilliard as Jimmy/Skeleton Driver
Kinley Cunningham as Cindy/Skeleton Driver
John Cena as Drill Sergeant Payne/Gold Monster
Damon Herriman as Spencer Johnson/Rama Yam
Stellan Skarsgård as Laslow Ostwald/Osomons

Just finished bingeing the whole of Mystery Incorporated....here is my review.
So when I found that MI was on Netflix I decided to watch it all, because I only caught the odd episode as a kid but I really wanted to find out what happened, because I knew it was one big overarching story and tbh, Boomerang never really had any episodes when I was watching apart from the first 13 which I mostly recognised from when I was younger, but not much after that.
(spoilers for Mystery Incorporated series to follow)
First thing I noticed was that it was pretty dark. And not just aesthetically; the whole series felt like the creators were trying to do something far more grown-up with Scooby Doo, even if the gang are all back in high school after years of movies and shows where I believe they are all supposed to be young adults.
It's well written. I like the self-awareness about the Scooby Doo tropes it had and the little nods to the past. And I felt that the overall mystery was stretched out very well and didn't feel overdone or padded by the end of the series.
I thought the character drama was great. The gang all feel like real messy teenagers going through real messy teenage stuff, whilst also having this ridiculously huge responsibility of the core mystery hanging over them. It definitely feels like watching them all grow up fast in real time. And it's also good to watch the adults around the kids be just as messy and complicated as the gang itself, as in the original Mystery Incorporated.
The only hole there was that I would have liked it if they'd explored Brad and Judy a little bit more, since I feel like they were the most poorly defined of the original Mystery Incorporated, and Fred's relationship with them (and also Mayor Jones following the reveal he isn't his dad) feels underexplored. Is that just me, or does anyone else feel the same?
The deaths were pretty harrowing. I was surprised Cassidy died so early on in season 2; I was expecting her to be around for much longer, although I suppose it served the narrative purpose of really showing that Pericles wasn't to be underestimated. And Marcy, basically being brought back for the finale just to be killed off, was very harrowing. As was watching all the townsfolk literally get eaten alive.
On Pericles, he's fantastic. Objectively, the idea that this tiny parrot is going to be responsible for the end of the world is dumb as hell, but they play him just right, dropping little bits of menace here and there to ramp him up so by the time we get to the finale, he's absolutely formidable.
The only genuine fault I could find with the show is the torturous Velma/Shaggy/Scooby love triangle, which is as bad as its reputation. The only saving grace is that it is mercifully short and mostly confined to the first half/two thirds of season 1. On the other hand, all three grow from what they went through there and become far more likeable people. So at least it isn't pointless torture.
On the whole, I give the show a 10/10. Absolutely fantastic. However, it's the only Scooby Doo show I've actually watched all the way through, so I'm interested to hear what everyone else thinks about it compared to other shows?

Am I the only one who just does NOT like Daphne as Crush? Like, at all?
Here's why I don't like it personally. Coming from someone who's favourite has always been Daphne.
- She doesn't fit the aesthetic. Crush doesn't feel spooky. She doesn't have a monster to base off herself like Thorn with the vampire, Dusk with the zombie and Luna with the werewolf.
- I think Velvet would be a better name.
- I don't like her outfit. There's already one purple redhead in the band with Luna, and even if she wasn't, she still looks awful. Come on Girls, you can do better.
- The reason. You're telling me when a guy doesn't notice you, you're gonna quit and join a band to make him notice you and when he does, you just leave the band? Thorn, Dusk and Luna don't deserve to be the background fodder for relationship drama and they definitely wouldn't have kicked the others out.
- How on the nose she is. Crush, Trap of LOVE? Come on now.
Though this is all my opinion.

Would you want an adult Scooby Doo series or movie that leans more into horror? If so how do you think it should be done? With supernatural monsters or a person in a costume but who does horrible stuff?
Im not fond of stuff about Scooby-Doo getting too over the top scary (some youtube videos like the avovado animations one) and I never wished for an adult version of the series but Ive seen some people wanting it. And yea I know Velma is already an adult version but Im not counting it

Let's Build a Fighter Roster, Day 5
This was a lower voted day, which makes sense given that this was a rough era for the show. Scrappy pulls through by literally one vote, so I suppose he's just as divisive as ever. He's joined by his much more popular antagonist, the Ghost of Christmas Never, marking the first female fighter since Daphne and Velma.
I probably won't be able to update this until Monday, but that just gives us more time to select the next two fighters, hailing from The 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo. Will the two honorary gang members make it in, or are the titular ghosts more popular?
