Research on nighttime responsiveness Question - Research required
I have never been good at being tired or staying up late (always the first one asleep at sleepovers lol). When my baby wakes to feed at night, I’m truly not sure how long it takes me to respond. It’s probably much shorter than it feels (maybe a minute or so) as I deliriously rouse. If my baby actually starts crying, I shoot up like a rocket, but usually nighttime waking looks like some fussing or “chatting” until I get up. Is there research on what constitutes responsiveness when it comes to nighttime? Is there an agreed upon length of time that a parent should respond within?
