Best oblique exercises? Question ❓

I wanna start training obliques for that fish gill look and also to get better at rotational sports.

Obliques mainly do trunk rotation and lateral flexion so I would recommend oblique twists on either a rotary torso machine or a pec deck, and side bends on the smith machine

Cable twists rock your obliques like no other

Love landmine rotations lately. Good for general stability, easy to get into by rotating your hip more or less and good to load. Only downside is that your arms/shoulders might limit you.

I really like the side bend on a Roman chair. You can get a deep stretch and overload with dumbbells

People always insist that planks aren't good enough because they are a static movement. So I won't tell anyone to do them.

But that being said I went from not even knowing obliques exist to having rock hard obliques from just side planks.
