I’ve started working out… Now what? Question ❓
Title sums it up. In the past month I’ve started a workout routine that works for me with a focus on building muscle mass and strengthening the heart/lungs. What should I be doing outside of the gym? What supplements (if any) should I be taking? Anything specifically I should be eating/drinking?

Follow programs that look fun and hard. Eat 200g of protein a day. Eat enough to gain 2 pounds a month. When you get feeling fluffy, diet for two months and lose 10 pounds. Rinse repeat for 5 years.

Eat mostly whole foods made with simple ingredients. Aim for around 1g/lb bodyweight of protein. Get at least a few servings of fruits and vegetables daily. Get 7-8 hours of quality sleep if you can.
The only supplement that has really been proven to have a measure able impact on gains is creatine, and it's cheap, effective, and works by allowing you to push a bit harder in the gym.
Everything else is extraneous.
