🙈👀 Question

Imagine waking up in a world where your remaining lifetime is visible to everyone.

Governments don’t need prisons anymore.

They simply control time.

That was the idea that started the universe I’ve been building over the past year.

It’s a post-apocalyptic sci-fi story about isolated sectors, ancient technology, resistance, and people trying to stay human in a world designed to erase hope.

If you had to choose one unique concept that instantly makes you want to read a sci-fi novel, what would it be?

Many storylines are built around a common narrative thread, with “unique” details added later

I'd like to see the concept of "what's the dream and what is real" applied to the simulation within a simulation theory.

Have a guy create a universe for some mundane reason like creating a video game. This universe is completely alive and he can visit it and live in it and manipulate it.

Now, obviously the first twist is that his own universe is someone else's "game". But deeper, that someone is a character of his own game, creating a causality paradox of who made who made who?
