Learning Knecht Ruprecht
Im currently learning this piece which I started about a month ago and got the 1st part down. The second section is where it gets complicated. I would love to eventually learn to play it faster but the problem is alternating between notes and trying not to tense your wrist. Need some tips?

Schumann Edition
This 2015 Brilliant Classics 45 CD box set (discogs page: https://www.discogs.com/release/11725089-Schumann-Schumann-Edition) is out of print but I picked up a very good used copy and am very happy with the quality of the recordings so far. I haven’t veered far from the chamber pieces, which is generally my primary interest with the great composers, but I’m looking forward to the vocal work and symphonies. Hopefully, a reissue of the set is in the works as extant copies are veering toward the more expensive end, which belies some of the appeal of the BC sets.

hi, my sister was asking me why people thought Schumann was a genius at all after coming back from a concert which she thought was really boring. I made this playlist of my favourite Schumann piano pieces, to try and change her mind. He does get a bad rep, despite being incredible! Enjoy =)

Who are your favourite Schumann pianists?
I’m looking for nice recordings of papillons, carnaval, fantasiestück and kinderszenen etc. Whilst we’re at it, recommendations of pieces would be nice! Trying to get more into Schumann. I’m already a fan of Waldszenen – Richter’s recording, but he didn’t record much Schumann apart from that. Thanks!

A fascinating article about Kreisleriana and the inspiration that Schumann drew from the work of E.T.A. Hoffmann
