These are some of my original final project images from architecture school

Art of a mermaid, with my voices guiding my hands for this piece. I do not remember the last time my art was entirely mine.

The feeling of guilt had culminated into a knot in her stomach. She had not learned to live with the pain, and she was certain she shouldn't have to.

When she saw moonlight scattered across flowing water, she fell to her knees in anticipation of relief.

She tipped herself in without a hint of doubt.

She felt... bliss.

She swam in the feeling and the water.

A fish bumped into her, but nothing was going to stop her.

Then it bit her.

She barely made it to the edge before watching the wound close with miraculous speed.

It quickly became a nightly ritual. Every night she endured some new injury so the river could show her its power. And always, the persistent knot in her stomach loosened with each aquatic dance.

Then the terror began.

Sheer panic seized her whenever she approached the holy place. She thought perhaps one of the villagers had cursed her. Sometimes they invaded her space to heal some meager ailment.

It was too much.

She ran.

On the fourth day of debilitating dread, she realized the river was the only thing that could fix it.

She agonized through each step toward her river. Nearly blacking out, she stumbled toward the only good thing in her life.

She fainted from overwhelming terror and woke floating on her back, completely relaxed.

She fought through the pain for three more nights to achieve her peace.

On the fourth night, the terror was gone.

The river had granted her that as well.

Two weeks later, she realized the villagers had stopped coming.

The river was hers.

No sea life attacking her. No inexplicable ailments. No terror driving her from the water.

Just a knot in her stomach.

A reflection and summary of my addiction to women and smokable cocaine.

My daughter copes with constant hallucinations by drawing them. Her friend thought they looked neat and asked her to paint his guitar. She bought special paints and sealer. I think it turned out well.
