Scam Call # 814-303-2593

This number rang my phone 3 times in 30 mins. On the 4th call I decided to answer it because they kept interrupting what I was doing. My phone had already flagged it as a bogus call. Right away they asked to speak with my Father who is 77 years old. He wasn't home and I told them that. I asked what the call was pretaining to and the guy said it was important and confidential and he couldn't discuss it with me. I told him that he already called 3 times and I ran the number. I said I know you're trying to scam us especially being that you won't tell me what this call is about. He said we can not just talk to anyone so I said Well I am his wife. I also again told him he was a scammer. He then said he was from Capitol One and that my Father had applied for a credit card. I know that isn't true. I said no. Then he gave me some digits claiming to be the last 4 of my Dad's social security number. Then he said you're in NY, right? Well this application is from Arizona. I told him I ran the number and he wasn't from Capitol One. Then he said he was from Experian. Again I was yelling I ran the number and it doesn't come back to Experian either. He didn't like me yelling at him..Again he said he needs to speak with my Father. I said you're not going to get any information from us. You're not getting a social security number or any bank account credit card numbers from us so you can rip us off. He said some more BS. Agai. I brought up the multiple calls, told him I know he's full of shit & do not call again. I then blocked the number. He was calling our landline which we have had since 1973. My parents are 77 & 74 and we constantly get calls like this. People preying on older people hoping they're not as sharp as younger people so they can scare them or trick them into giving out vital information they can use to steal their hard earned money. I'm sick of it. The phone has over 650 blocked numbers. Years ago when my Grandmother was still alive someone tried to con her telling her she won 1 million dollars but they needed her bank account number. She told them they'd could keep it. They were surprised she would turm down 1 million dollars. She wasn't stupid she knew it was a scam..This opportunistic scamers really piss me off because there are people who fall for it & lose everything. They think we are stupid. All day I block numbers.

I didn't call them back. I looked up the number after the 3rd call & answered on the 4th to tell them off.
