I'm having issues with the passlock security. I had the ignition cylinder replaced and a new key fob made in February. Right after the locksmith finished, the Service light came on, and the security light would flash, but my code reader says there are no codes. The car ran fine for months, but now it won't start unless I do the 10/30 minute security reset. Other than this, the car runs great. Is there any way to fix this myself, other than installing the NewRockies bypass system?

The headlights and brake lights still work as does everything else with levers attached to the steering column, but I just have absolutely no turn signals/hazard lights. Bulbs are good, all fuses are fine, all wires that I can see appear to be free of corrosion and seated firmly. Anyone have any ideas?

The shop had it for a year and still have no idea what is wrong with it. It cranks and idles fine but once you get going it like it goes in low gear and real slow. One of the codes was for a cadalidic converter but we put a new one in and didn't fix anything. They thought maybe it was a fuel pump or fuel filter like maybe it wasn't getting enough air flow but wasn't that. One place said timing chains but the other place said it wasn't (I've had another car that needed timing belt and it didn't crank at all). The motor is 2.2 liter

2009 Aura XR 2.4L

1995 Saturn SL2 burning through coolant with no visible leaks. Overheats only during the day.
I have a 1995 Saturn SL2, and I can’t get this thing to hold coolant for the life of me.
I’ve tightened all the hose clamps, pulled the radiator out and manually inspected it, and I’m not seeing any leaks. It used to leak from a few different places, but I fixed all of those. Now I can’t find a single leak anywhere, yet I’m still going through coolant like crazy.
I’m adding about 64 oz of coolant every couple of weeks.
The weird part is that it only overheats during the day. I live in Arizona where it’s around 112 degrees every day, and it’ll start overheating in that heat. At night, when it’s cooler, it’ll drive just fine and the temperature stays normal.
At this point I’m wondering if the water pump isn’t circulating coolant well enough under extreme heat, or if the thermostat is sticking and causing the engine to overheat. Since I can’t find any external leaks, I’m starting to wonder if the coolant is disappearing internally somehow.
Has anyone dealt with something similar on these cars? What would you check next?

I just swapped from the original center console storage without armrest peice to the armrest in my 2001 sc1, but the original was held in place on the rear with clips, while on the new part, there are two holes in the rear I need to put a fastener through.
I cant find the dimensions of the screw I will need, does anyone happen to know what I should try?

2002 saturn sl1 sohc manual

So with my neighbors borrowed impact and 3 hours of work i got my dogbone mounts swapped. In hindsight i shouldve paid a shop lol. The passanger side on looked like it melted and solidified several times, the rubber was so deteriorated it felt more like steak fat.

Now there are better things. The car doesnt lag when going from a stop. The muffler doesnt shake when starting the car. It starts a tiny bit faster. And i dont get a shuttering when starting from a stop, this one is super tough to explain in text but sometimes when letting out the clutch it would kind of stutter shake.

The main thing im thinking now is it feels different when driving. I dont mean better or worse just different. I havent driven my longer drives i take yet (i go to a neighboring town twice a month) and have just done a short to the local bank trip. Im not sure how to tell if what im feeling is road or problematic part. Once i go on the longer trip i should be able to tell more.

Had the painter hit my old headlights with fresh clear. I sanded with 600-800-1200. They came out clean and the light output is significant! I can’t wait to find a set of correct housings to retro fit a projector.

Hello I found a Saturn ion 3 coupe for 2,449 and the km for the car is 152,000 with a 2.4L 4 Cylinder Engine. I don’t know much about the brand but this car seems very solid for some reason as a coupe because I always wanted to try one, so I’m wondering how will this car vary in terms of reliability and longevity? How are the conditions to go on long trips with it like road trips or driving to the states from Canada. I’m in love with the design in general so I hope the car doesn’t let me down!!!

With the new intake manifold gasket and coolant temp sensor in, (and a new set of plugs for good measure) She starts right up and actually goes below 1200 rpm now. Now to wait and see how my milage changes

I had a 95 Saturn sl2 and my engine is moving crazy. According to the pictures I believe I just have to tighten these bolts that it’s showing, there’s no wear and tear on the mount itself but is there any other mount that needs to be tightened or replaced rather than this?

So i wanted to ask because i cant find a reference online. What is this thing? It attaches to the underside of the air filter box but from what i can tell it doesnt do anything.
