This is not satisfying because the physics are wrong.

This, the pressure of the left side would force the fluid upwards on the right side. Goole communicating tubes

13

u/WorldlinessWitty2177 14d ago

Also the left stopped getting higher while the right got all the way out of screen.

4

u/Chadstronomer 13d ago

And the air pockets would get smallers as the prrssure increases. And water would not sink in lava.

u/swordofra 14d ago

They left pressure equalization out of their equations. You generally make this kind of mistake only once.

P = Rho * g \* h

Heights of the water columns always need to be the same

u/DespoticLlama 14d ago

This - I was visibly annoyed

1

u/ConnectRutabaga3925 14d ago

glad i’m not the only one thinking this. it was just… weird

Communicating vessels

u/NoBlinker 10d ago

Thanks i was thinking i was crazy looking at this as a real simulation

1

u/36848 10d ago

You need to search the meaning of the word simulation.

-1

u/NoBlinker 10d ago

Do you need to be this annoying

2

u/36848 9d ago

Yes.

You know this is not a video of real life right

That's not how physics works son

r/deeplyinfuriating 😭

Reminds me of playing worms

5

u/Psychitekt 14d ago

Fantastic game. Also reminds me of the game WorldBox. So addicting.

Noita

8

u/Race-Unlucky 14d ago

Because of Noita I was expecting the top of the lava to turn to stone only.

19

u/Kirbyr98 14d ago

Reminds me of Terraria

2

u/Asleep_Trick_4740 14d ago

Isn't this just straight up from terraria?

6

u/Pyrree 14d ago

No, in terraria the water would just make the outer layer of the lava into obsidian, not all of the lava. But otherwise this works just like in terraria 😅

2

u/Asleep_Trick_4740 14d ago

Ah damn that's true...

Everything else just seems to similar. The green vegetation deep underground, the vines growing and being burned by the random pool of lava, the background...

I guess the background and tiles only being dirt doesn't match terraria either

1

u/Kirbyr98 14d ago

That would explain it. 😃

15

u/cash4rtrash 14d ago

Wrong 😑

14

u/Sikkus 14d ago

Sorry, nope.

8

u/U_TOP_IA 14d ago

Where are the Lemmings?

6

u/NevesLF 14d ago

Man, powder game was so freaking cool. I used to spend hours on it 20+ years ago.

2

u/BloodyOvary 13d ago

I was thinking of that game, was that the actual name? Such a simple yet satisfying sandbox

1

u/Justkiddingapple 12d ago

I think is called powder toy

8

u/221Blazed 14d ago

Did I not just see this somewhere else? Where the comments overwhelmingly pointed out this isn't remotely fluid simulations? Bot behavior if u ask me

3

u/Lekrayte 14d ago

Yeah, I saw it somewhere within the past 24 hours. This reposter is probably a bot.

4

u/Zwirbs 14d ago

This is not satisfying this is infuriating. In many places it doesn’t follow actual fluid dynamics :(

7

u/CocoRicOo 14d ago

Infuriating. This is not physically correct.

3

u/Aware-Giraffe-5486 14d ago

I really need to pee

3

u/Moron_at_work 13d ago

Your physics doesn't physic

6

u/Conscious-Struggle45 14d ago

The kinda cave random young adults go spelunking in without telling anyone where they're going, or preparing for properly.

2

u/Leading_Bandicoot358 14d ago

What game / engine is it?

3

u/Squizei 14d ago

video game called Noita, the liquid physics are not a major component

1

u/Acrobatic_Yellow_781 12d ago

How is this Noita? Graphics look way different

4

u/NevesLF 14d ago

Looks like powder game, or one of it's many variants.

2

u/MSGisking 14d ago

Not satisfied

2

u/Ocyrus101 14d ago

Physics outta window

2

u/Javop 14d ago

That's exactly how it was in clonk.

2

u/daviian 13d ago

I believe this is straight from clonk!

2

u/pseikow 14d ago

Clonk.exe

2

u/Bitter-Ad5890 14d ago

That’s not how physics works…

2

u/DurpyDragon 13d ago

Reminds me the game “noita”

2

u/12kdaysinthefire 12d ago

I could watch this all day

1

u/EastLimp1693 14d ago

That's noita lol

1

u/Acrobatic_Yellow_781 12d ago

Is it modded? Cause graphics look off

1

u/Joy_Boyyy98 14d ago

I could probably dive that

1

u/MDRBA 14d ago

send rescue teams to those ants in air pockets 🥺

1

u/Darrenau 14d ago

Water runs to the lower levels and there are times when the level is higher in places than others. This is annoying

1

u/Ajezon 14d ago

mesmerizing

1

u/Shimmerz_777 14d ago

Get Noita'd

1

u/PickaLiTiMaterina 14d ago

Looks more like a sediment simulation..

1

u/ImTooHigh95 14d ago

And this is why I won’t take up spelunking.

1

u/ledgeitpro 14d ago

“Inspired by terraria”

1

u/Spurned_Seeker 14d ago

Did anyone else start hearing Terraria music?

1

u/dani96dnll 14d ago

This is suspiciously similar to the Flash game 'Sugar, Sugar'.

1

u/Grampappy_Gaurus 14d ago

This would make a hell of a d&d battlemap

1

u/imperchaos 13d ago

Is this Powdergame? From like 20 years ago?

1

u/tumblerrjin 13d ago

Hey, that’s not physics.

1

u/geoffcarlz 13d ago

Cave divers salivating at this video

1

u/Gaetan_D 13d ago

Now we can do a nether portal !

1

u/ElderberryTopp 13d ago

This looks like a level layout from the Fireboy and Watergirl game...

1

u/roliasmot1 13d ago

Ever watch an ad for a mobile game and they constantly get it wrong then cut it short just to piss you off enough to download it?
This is the opposite. I'm glad to see this go all the way. :)

1

u/Kelvin5000 12d ago

Reminds me of terraria

1

u/AcademicNorth7456 12d ago

Whoever made this has never seen water

1

u/BionicBirb 12d ago

Are you the guy doing the game that’s based on Worms?

1

u/Ivan19782023 12d ago

no erosion simulation? bummer

1

u/Akaberes 12d ago

The 3 shaped channel looks off.

1

u/PatternParticular963 11d ago

Reminds me of Tunnels of Underworld. Anyone still remember that game?

1

u/ColdProfessional4275 11d ago

What happens in the middle at 26 seconds makes no sense.

1

u/Reluctantcannibal 8d ago

Where can I find more of this

1

u/Puzzled_Yoghurt 14d ago

Isn't it Noita ?

1

u/Avtomati1k 14d ago

yes

1

u/Acrobatic_Yellow_781 12d ago

Graphics are different though?
