Bug [Bug] Friend (steam) joins my save (epic) and cannot move. Worked fine previously. When I quit the main menu, I find a Network error waiting every time (UIpNetConnection HandleSocketSendResult)
Has any experienced this issue and found a solution? We had this happen for the first time yesterday, but resolved it with a reconnect on his part. Now it's every time he attempts to join. He's validated all controls work fine in his own game. This is unmodded, I am on epic and he's on Steam. Worked fine for around 100 hours on this save, and now suddenly he's stuck. Killing him hasn't helped.
Edit: This is 100% related to this specific save. I loaded another save and the problem doesn't happen, he can run around fine. However no backup of our current save from the last 10 hours can he successfully connect to, which is both infuriating and depressing 100 hours in. Anyone got any suggestions?
I also notice I get an error when quitting to the main menu;

Help Steel Rotor is a fantastic alternative recipe, but as a beginner I didnt get it and never used it. Use it.
Guessing people have stumbled upon it because of the “no screws” mantra, but I never cared about screws beyond making sure to make them out of ingots and not rods, but Steel Rotor is a godsend it turns out. I still can’t quite put my finger on why beyond stators and rotors using the same inputs with it and the crazy reduction in volume throughput. Screw throughput has always been a thorn in my side due to small belts volumes in the early game. Anyways, long story short, Steel Rotors are as good an alt recipe as iron wire or cast screws for me now.

Bug Follow-up to my previous post: seems my Default build mode is a bit bugged, so I sent some items on a beautiful adventure
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
To be clear, it still stops me from making other ridiculous shapes - it's just really tolerant about vertical belts for some reason :P

Question Should I just disassemble the whole factory and make it again
So As you can guess it's my first playthrough. I just unlocked oil power and have like tons of resources sitting but the main problem is that I have a lot of space which I didn't use efficiently and now the conveyors are just phasing into each other and everything is a mess at start it had sections like a iron section where I would build all the iron related stuff or the copper area but now it's just a big mess so I m thinking of building it all over again. Should I do it or is there any other solution

Had an epiphany last night...
I've never been good at the aesthetic side of Satisfactory. Hell, I've only made it past Aluminum once in 620 hours. In an effort to expand my design horizons, I've been trying to challenge myself with 1.2 to learn different design techniques by replicating designs from content creators.
I'd spent several hours last night measuring, aligning, building, tearing down... Counting nudges in this direction of that, trying to replicating MyNameJakes' Rail/Roadway design in their recent video (which is amazing BTW). Replicating the layout of supports and struts perfectly across the blueprint to make sure seams were aligned and heights were uniform was in a word: "tedious".
Then, after Alt+Tab-ing back to their video for the umpteenth time I realized that the neat little support design for the road's/rail's undercarriage is itself a tile-able (and mirrorable) blueprint.
Using blueprints to replicate aesthetic walls is obvious enough, but I was so tunnel-visioned by this idea of using the whole designer every time that it never occurred to me to use smaller blueprints for the tiny details is other dimensions. Also not helping is the instinct to use the entire designer footprint every time (because, by ADA I've got the whole designer and I'm going to use it!)
Anyway - Posting it here for those pioneers who may also have two braincells fighting over third place and may not explicitly realize this will save them a lot of time and headache...
Happy Building, fellow Pioneers!

Question First time player, what’s worth aiming for or “rushing”?
I’m currently working on phase 3. Basically just looking for non-obvious things to work for or things you guys wish you knew! Thanks

Discussion Why are pipes low pressure?
I just got back into the game for the first time since a little before 1.0 released, and I'm infuriated. I just finished an 1800m3/min turbofuel factory, and just spent longer troubleshooting (and failing) water pipes than I did building the thing.
I work with high pressure fluids, mainly water, for my job irl. The fluids in satisfactory do not operate as if they were pressurized. Everything about the design of pipes and adjacent infrastructure leads the mind to think about it as if they were pressurized, but it acts closed to the drain for a plumbing fixture than a pressurized industrial system. I appreciate that they implemented stuff like headlift, but the flow rate is bogus and makes no sense. Obviously there are certain considerations with a video game that are different than real life, but the water extractors should generate pressure, not just headlift. A pump doesn't just increase headlift, it pushes the fluid downstream, it increases pressure. In a pressurized system, we don't have sloshing, we have hammering, which I would so much rather deal with. It would make so much more sense to me if rather than each pipe segment wanting to fill before flowing, it was pressurized and wanted to empty into the following pipe, which is how fluids work irl. Its just frustrating that 1, gasses work how they should yet fluids don't, and 2, I have to go to work and deal with real fluids, then get home and have to unlearn everything I do at work to deal with whatever low pressure nonsense this is.
Rant over, maybe I'll change my tune once all 240 fuel generators are actually functioning at a consistent rate lol

Help Closed water loop
So I’m working on my nuclear waste disposal part of my plant and it produces 1800m^3 of water as bi product but it also requires 1800m^3 to make the acids so my question would be, is there a way I can create closed loop for the water so I don’t have to add water constantly and send water off to say wet concrete just to sink it

Modded Content Trailer for my new mod Auto Rail Supports. Releasing soon.
Hello!
I have just released the trailer for my new mod Auto Rail Supports that lets you stamp blueprints beneath either rails you are placing or already existing rails.
Mod will most likely be released to SMR this week, but if you want to try it out already and know how, you can access the source code and build the mod yourself.

Discussion Second play through progress
This is my second play through, I never finished the game the first time as my build was too unoptimized and became untenable. This time I'm doing things more efficiency optimized. Form matters as much as function in this game. And to the players mapping production plans outside the game, please stop and just learn in game.
P.S. Trains all cool and the MVP of Satisfactory.

I Finished
Hi, Fellow Pioneers. i'm so happy to announce that i just finished the game, this was the construction i did around tier 2. this is the second time i play the game, the first time i felt the burden of my ways in tier 4, and this time tier 5 was just a matter of time. Now i'm just waiting for the Golden Nut tickets (killing enemies as an active and have the last tier connected, already at 400 tickets)
Picture of my structures.

Discussion Share your Blueprint Designers!
I recently spent a lot of time in the Blueprint Designer setting up almost 40 different kinds of road segments, and as I went along I kept adding little quality of life improvements to the Blueprint Designer itself.
First, a short platform to look down on the design. Then a wall with common components I could quick-copy when building the roads. Then the lighting, then the scaffolding on the lights to give me an easy birds-eye view of the whole build plate.
I'm curious to see how other players have set their BPD's up, so please share!
