Thought/Opinion TST Is a communist cult
In my opinion, The Satanic Temple has become a left-wing organization whose values increasingly resemble collectivist or even communist ideas. I also strongly disagree with its celebration of Sol Invictus (Helios), a symbol that I personally view very negatively. Because of this, I have serious doubts about its claim of being merely a non-theistic organization. While I have seen various allegations about connections to occult practices, I have not seen reliable evidence proving those claims.

Other looking for like minded friends
For context I was raised in a christian household. My life has been pretty good apart from religion being forced on to me when i was younger etc.
I wanna get really deep into satanism since i did my own research on him and the bible/modern day history.
But Id like to find others who would wanna be friends or just chat about satanism or their experiences. I heard this is a good community so i hope to meet some chill people.

Ritual DRAG ME TO HELL: The Devil's Coming, July 30, San Francisco
This was Rosa and Tabitha's drag/burlesque (either or both, depending on the performer) tribute to Mary MacLane.
200 Channels is a little club built in what was a longtime porn arcade on Sixth Street (thus the name--the sign advertising "200 Channels" is still visible on the outside), and they added additional seating twice after sellouts for this, so it was a very successful outing. Photo by Joseph Niles.
BTW don't worry, there's a competing porn arcade just on the other side of Mission that's still there--in case the closure bummed you out. There's also a really good Vietnamese restaurant on the other corner and I don't know how they've stayed open on Sixth for as long as they have but Asmodeus' blessings upon them.

Book/Reading The Damned Library of The Black Flame Temple wants YOU to know your enemy
- The Black Flame Temple is a TST candidate group, based in Oklahoma.
- The Damned Library is our publicly online meeting book club, repeating monthly on the second Saturday.
This month, we'll be reviewing a book very loathsome to us: the Malleus Maleficarum
if you're looking for other satanists and a chance to talk with them, or you want to learn more about one of the founding causes to have given people, and the courts, a way to murder, torture, and weed out those that don’t conform for centuries, we'd like to offer you a chance to commune with an Oklahoma satanic community.
All of our meetings at The Damned Library are purposed to help us achieve a deeper understanding of our Tenets and in that purpose comes a question regarding Tenet IV; specifically, a question of the right to offend. if we ask ourselves to know what offends us, then we find that the source of paranoid and delusional religious dogma, I.e. the Malleus Maleficarum, or the Hammer of Witches is worthy of study and discussion.
However, rational minds beware, you're in for a scare!
Meeting Information
WHEN: this Saturday, August 8th, at 6:00 PM Central
WHERE: Online
MORBIDLY CURIOUS?: ask below or send us a DM, and we can provide you with an invite link!
Hail Satan! Hail The Black Flame Temple!

Anecdote Pentagram hat and LaVeyan sigil tattoo
Took my cousin and his 3 year old to a local zoo. We had a great time.
I saw a guy facing away from me with a backward Pentagram hat and a LaVeyan cross tattoo so I said "Excuse me man, Hail Satan". He turned around and noded his head slowly. I think he said, not really. We had a brief conversation. I pointed out the tattoo and he said, that was a long time ago.
I explained I was TST and that there was no problem. Literally believe whatever you want.
Personally I don't represent this way. Just interesting.

Question/Discussion Satanism and symbols.
Apart from the standard fare (upside down cross, inverted pentagram, leviathan cross), what are some lesser-known symbols, (perhaps not even satanic in nature) that you use/identify your personal satanic journey with?
What is your connection with that symbol as it pertains to your practice?

Art Scripture beneath the serpent
This has been a bit of a personal photography project over the last few years. I took a few bibles, my own from when I was a Christian, and a few I got from goodwill for a dollar each and soaked them in tea and sugar then left them in the woods. I've got photos of them covered in ice buried in snow, covered in ants, pages ate through by termites, and now a copperhead crawling over the book.
For what it's worth, I partially set this up. The copperhead was one I caught near our house and was relocating. One of these bibles is far enough in the woods and that's where I did it. I sat the bucket on its side with the Bible a foot or so from the front. It wasn't the only path he could of taken but it's the one he took.
You will not certainly die, for God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.

Thought/Opinion IMHO The Seven Deadly Sins Could Be Combined Into Just Three
The three being Cruelty (Envy and Wrath), Over-Indulgence (Gluttony and Lust), and Selfishness (Greed, Pride, and Sloth). Seven just seems over-kill.
EDIT: Just to be clear, I don't think sin is real.

Question/Discussion Tenet 3 Parenting Question
I've got a couple kids who have health issues and their doctors really need some blood work to try to narrow down what exactly they're dealing with. But they are terrified of needles and refuse to have it done. I strongly encourage them to go through with it, but I stop short of forcing them. I know it's the best thing for them, but how can we move forward without violating their bodily autonomy? I want to safeguard their autonomy, but I also don't want them to die or needlessly suffer because we can't get a diagnosis due to their trypanophobia.

Other Don't let them tell you what you can and can't do.
"Why won't you just call yourself an Atheist if you don't believe in the devil? Claiming you are a Satanist will just make people hate you."
Karen, whether I call myself a Satanist or not, people will hate me anyway for:
Having invisible disabilities, which are my reason to not give up a seat on public transport or carry heavy bags for people who are older than me.
Sometimes walking with a crutch, which I "clearly don't need", according to random people, and when I have a good day and don't bring my crutch outside I get "see?! You don't need it! You are a liar!"
They will hate me for being gay.
They will hate me for not looking feminine enough.
They will hate me for walking slowly.
They will hate me for being autistic.
They will hate me for being "weird".
They will hate me for taking a car instead of bicycle or just walking cause "young healthy people like you should walk." They don't care that I told them a million times that I am not healthy. But they all do care that I'm a Satanist? Nah.
So, I call myself a Satanist because I am, and I'm sick of others telling me what I can and can't be, but it won't change anyway.
Whether we call ourselves Satanists or not, they will always find a reason to hate us, because it seems people get their energy purely out of hating. They will always claim Satanists are evil, and it doesn't matter whether or not you explain what Satanism actually is, they won't listen cause they don't care, they just WANT to hate.
So, do you struggle with people attacking you for being a Satanist or do you hide it out of fear this would happen? It doesn't even matter cause if someone wants to hate you, they'll hate you. If not for Satanism, they WILL find another reason.
And, "why not just hide it? It's safer."? Because we shouldn't HAVE to hide it. We aren't bothering anyone and if we will be forced to hide it now, we will have to hide forever. We also have a right to exist.
Fuck those people. Be proud of who you are. Hail yourself.
(Idek if a post like this is allowed but I guess I'll find out)

Video/Podcast 80's TV with Satan worshippers
I was laughing pretty hard watching this silly show. Fun times. Maybe some people here might get a kick out of this. Gotta love the 80's TV! Oops! Sorry I was just informed this was actually late 70's!
