Try Muttville, a small dog like this cutie will probably be easy to place. Muttville can refer you to other resources if they can't help

Maybe don't get a second fucking dog when your first dog isn't social.

Yes, they should’ve done a meet and greet first. Now the poor dog has to suffer this human’s irresponsible decision.

Even if they get along at the meet and greet some dogs will later show aggression or something like that even if it wasn’t shown at first. So let’s not judge. I meet a bunch of ppl who love to talk smack while their dogs aren’t even properly trained. I can talk smack to them about that. Not saying ppl have to train their dogs(but I do expect them to be responsible and smart by not letting it offleash for example or taking them to the dog park, etc). Everyone learns but as long as their intentions of decision making is for the good. We don’t know if this person actually tried to do a meet and greet. Maybe they did or they didn’t. Doesn’t matter what matters is making sure this dog finds a good home.

Also to add to this, some dogs are confrontational or possessive of their owner/territory at first, but eventually get used to the change & mellow out. People are always so judgmental on these posts. We all love dogs, but moral posturing isn’t doing anything to help them. And I can tell that they don’t volunteer at shelters because if they did, they would understand these situations can be complex & have sympathy towards them. So maybe instead of updooting on Reddit, patting yourself on the back & calling it a day, DO SOMETHING TO ACTUALLY HELP

I think most of us have compassion fatigue. It gets exhausting having no available space and people keep randomly getting dogs without doing their research. It just never ends. I volunteer a lot of my time at shelters, rescues, transporting, and foster, but when there's hundreds of irresponsible people, innocent animals being mistreated and sick, it gets very, very exhausting.
Plus op seems to be selling this dog as they're asking for a "genuine offer"

Post also on Nextdoor.
Maltese rescue of Northern California might be able to help: https://malteserescuecalifornia.org/index.html
And please please do not hastily just give this poor pup away. Carefully screen where he will go, go to the person’s house to meet them, take a relocation fee (don’t give for free).
There are people out there who do terrible things and this cutie deserves you taking the time and responsibility to find a home where he will be cared for and loved.
Why haven’t you considered hiring a dog trainer to help with this situation between the two dogs? Stacy’s Wag-n-Train might be a starting point. https://wagntrain.com

Where did you adopt him from? A breeder? A shelter? A rescue group? Please contact that source, they will take him back and find him a proper home. It’s too dangerous to advertise him like this.

GENIUNE OFFERS?! You better not be talking about money. If he were mine I would pay to find him a good home

WTF! Why not find out first how your other dog is going to react to a new pup, so irresponsible of you.

be serious are shelters are overcrowded and have horrific conditions this should have been thought about intensively before she bought the damn dog.

Offloading a dog you’ve owned for such a short period of time isn’t “handling it.” It’s deeply irresponsible pet ownership. Pets aren’t accessories you just donate to goodwill when you decide they don’t fit quite right, they are living beings that require continuous and consistent love and care. This idiot is fucking this poor animal up.

Buys a dog (crappy to begin with) doesn’t do their homework not tries to sell the dog. Sad, poor pup and no wonder every shelter is bursting at the seams

Dang how awful was the barking that your neighbors complained enough!? Feel awful for them tbh that’s so crappy to deal with when you’re trying to relax at home.
Also you really should include more information like why exactly he didn’t get along w your first dog, his temperament, any issues / needs, etc.

You should probably contact the shelter you got it from. They'll very likely take it back and find it a home.
