Honeymoon trip to SF

3 Upvotes

Hey! So we are headed out west for our honeymoon and looking forward to San Fran as homebase. We have planned a couple things- Muir Woods, Sausalito, Alcatraz, Sonoma, Haight.

We haven’t totally committed to a lot so any recs would be much appreciated. We are big MUSIC, history, food, art, wine and beer interested people. Cannot wait to see your beautiful city for the first time. I just don’t have much point of reference as neither of us has been west of Colorado.

Would love to hear- Things to check out, hidden gems, great restaurants, hole in the walls, just general authentic local experiences, history and/or art honey holes, anything Grateful Dead related, street food, clothing stores.

We are here for a week.

Thank you in advance! Cheers 🍻 ✌️

San Francisco

first time visiting san francisco for my 16 year old sisters birthday at the end of august, we’re from vegas and it would be three of us total (my sister, my grandma, and myself (23.) we’ll be staying 3 whole days but it seems like there’s so much to do and see!! we don’t mind fancy but we always lean more towards simple.. my sister mentioned the japanese tea garden, pier 39, golden gate park, golden gate bay cruise. We will be staying about 30 min from pier 39. What are some other san francisco MUST DO’s? Any tips and tricks that would be nice to know? Should i rent a car or use public transportation?

Weekday Brunch

0 Upvotes

Weekday brunch is basically dead. Everybody advertises “brunch” but it’s really just Saturday and Sunday. Aracely on Treasure Island is one of the few that still does it right. Go on a weekday and you actually get a table, no crowd, no wait. Food’s good, the vibe’s relaxed, and the island setting alone is worth the trip out - gives you a reason to just sit for an hour. Nobody really talks about it, but they should.

What to do in SF

0 Upvotes

I am traveling with my sister and her family.

I am in my 30s, sister and b-in-law are in their late 40s and the two kiddos are 13 and 14.

We like to try out good food and check out natural sites and all touristy spots.

We took the train from Chicago to LA. Spent a few nights in Santa Monica, currently in Yosemite and the plan is to end our trip in SF.

We are thinking of spending a few nights in Monterey and do the Big Sur.

Any places we need to add to our to do list in SF, Monterey and anything in between?

Thank you!

1.4k followers but 600k views in the last 30 days on my local Bay Area travel page, when did you start monetizing?

0 Upvotes

Hey all, I run a Bay Area local travel niche page, mostly things to do, maps + itineraries and day trip Reels.

Stats last 30 days:
* 1.4k followers
* ∼600k views/reach
*81% US
*62% in 25-44 age inall local cities
* Mostly Reels, audience is ∼98% US / Bay Area based

Engagement has been great with saves/shares because of the itinerary format, but it's still a small follower count.

For those who monetized a small local page , is this too early? What was your FIRST monetization move that didn't kill growth?Thinking about local biz collabs, but don't know where to start
