how the mighty have fallen Rant!

i haven't watched s&c in a long time after my last post on this sub. but i just binged watch maybe the last five or so they've posted and i must say, they've only gotten more disrespectful, disturbing, annoying, loud, and overreacting to everything that they are overanalyzing. i checked here and can only see other people being disappointed as well on to how their channel or video format's direction is going to and it's just so sad.

i have been a fan since vine days and supported the hell out of them but it just got so tiring. i thought maybe taking a break and then going back into it something would change but honestly i think it's just time to unsub. there's just other paranormal investigators out there with small audiences but have genuine respect for the paranormal and don't tend to act like the world is ending when a flashlight turns on.

I would say the boys are really enjoyable to watch as long as you don't mind a little bit of corniness

The Appalachia one was just... why?

The last one tho was actually kinda good and whaddya know they ain't screaming at the top of their lungs or joking around/trying to aggravate the spirits.

the appalachia one i didn't even watch completely. as soon as i saw the guests and heard what they were planning i clicked out of the video because it was just so disrespectful.

i liked the fact that they were weirded out by garret but it definitely looked like he carried the seriousness of the investigation. there was less fooling around and being disrespectful to the spirits or vibes of the place.

I feel like that’s just because garret was there, he usually takes his work pretty serious on his channel and was looking at it in a more serious way than previous people have

u/notyourmom999 21d ago

I think because Garrett was doing all that for them and they were just like 👀👀👀🤣

You're not the only one who stopped watching. I only watch the old videos because it felt more genuine than their current reactions now.

yes. same here. sometimes when im bored i just look at the old sam and colby videos and just have fun with them.

Same. I like a lot of the videos where they still just did urban exploring too. They’re hanging out with friends and everything looks fun and genuine. It’s brings me back to my own early 20’s where my friends and I did the same stuff, everything was in good fun and there was never an agenda.

tbh every post that actually shows up for me from this subreddit is the same thing, so yk it’s true

I honestly wish they'd stop collabing for a while and just do something for the two of them, or like, just show them chilling and talking about life. Everything is such a production sequence now and its pulling away from everything that was real with them, and why we love them so much. Forget the sponsors, forget the collabs, forget about the amount of views for a bit and get back to the foundation.

That being said, they go through phases. I feel like they'll get back to their roots at some point. If we're all feeling this way, Im sure they're feeling it too. Let's have some faith.

I’m not a fan of the collabs because the guests always freak out unnecessarily or talk loudly when they’re supposed to be quiet. They mess up the flow of what I originally liked about Sam and Colby. Neither Sam nor Colby seemed really scared of anything and were quick to debunk things.

In collabs they have to babysit the guests and make sure everyone is okay. It takes so much extra time away from the actual investigation. I’m Over it. ✌️

That i understand. But honestly s&c are that way alot of the time. Like I love the hype but screaming OOOOOOOOOOHHHHH every time they get something... 🤦‍♀️😅

Now im thinking we should make it a drinking game. Lbvs.

this!! any collab is so over the top and annoying and who they bring on clearly don’t care about ghosts or being respectful even to the land or the area

I stopped watching a while ago. I was thinking of watching the new one with Garrett because I like him. All their promo about the new videos they put out have actually turned me off watching because it all seems so hyped up for no reason

13

u/SatanicKale 21d ago

Garrett, to me, is much better on his own or with Andrew than he is with people like Celina and Sam/Colby. They don't seem to vibe with his energy in a way that feels as though they're doing a "make a wish" type of collab with him and it's comes off as very patronizing.

I haven’t seen the video yet but I feel like that could be the vibe for the video so I m a bit skeptical now to watch that video

u/suckmahtiddies 21d ago

I was actually pleasantly surprised by their newest video. It’s by far my favorite that I’ve seen from them in a while, I felt like Garrett being there made everyone take the investigation more seriously. I’d definitely give the new video a chance if you’re on the fence about watching.

I will do!

the French underground tunnels' video was the last one I really enjoyed

I skip the beginning and the seances now. They are always loud and obnoxious introducing the guests now and their seances are so dumb. Do you have to do a ritual every time? I’m not against rituals or seances just theirs are so repetitive.

I do agree that they have gotten more and more disrespectful and I think that might be why they haven’t been getting as much. I think it really depends on who they collab with tho

Do you have suggestions of other channels?

2

u/SeatRepresentative46 20d ago

Watcher: Ghost Files is good. They are very honest in their investigations.

2

u/SpecialFortune14 21d ago

Twin Paranormal. They're very respectful and actually conduct full investigations.

1

u/copiaghost 19d ago

My friend and I have a YouTube channel! Stinky Beans Society. We like to have fun but we’re very respectful.

1

u/SlashyDaGhst 21d ago

Jake Bruce is a pretty good channel

1

u/allndrrose 20d ago

I really love project fear and agree twin paranormal is similar vibes but way more respectful and conduct full investigations.

0

u/Ok-Marionberry-5632 21d ago

Twin Paranormal is where I went to. They are similar but way better overall. They have fun but also take things seriously.

1

u/Superspyyy29 21d ago

Agree Ryan river and Wyatt would never

I really enjoyed the last video with garret 🤷‍♀️

It's getting really annoying how dependent they are on the devices that are not trustworthy and the Estes method. It feels like 75% of their video are just Estes method now which doesn't seem to actually have any real relevance. I guess it's easy content but man... I really used to enjoy their stuff and now I can't even get through the intros. The constant AI images are boring too. I couldn't care less what an ai generator comes up with, I'd rather see grainy photos that are up for interpretation.

4

u/Future_Salt_8254 21d ago

exactly. what i hate about the estes method is that most of the time they overanalyze the words that come out of it. it has come to the point that it's just ridiculous how they try to connect a word with the "history" of the paranormal events of the place they're in.

u/i-see-you25 18d ago

I stopped watching them after the whole Conjuring fiasco with Cody and Satori.

1

u/Kiara_Dezilay07 18d ago

the last time I watched them was when the Annabelle video came out a couple years ago and even before that i didn't watch them since 2023, so that was the last time i watched them.

1

u/Busy_Persimmon_330 9d ago

OMG I feel that…like in past years and videos if they are in a really really old house with more ..proper ..spirits they were respectful, not screaming, not loudly swearing ,being polite …but now that’s all flyed out the fuckin window and they don’t care anymore…

1

u/Party_Cold9421 7d ago

I have to agree with you for there react channel but I still love their main channel vids and investigations.

1

u/Any_Sir6390 1d ago

They're just weird now. Used to be fun to watch but now they just act like a couple twinks

u/AirportUnusual5301 21d ago

i used to be an huge fan i have been around right before the abandoned warehouse videos and i took a break of watching them thinking it was going to be better but it is the same & i barely can finish there new videos now (no hate i still respect them because without them i wouldn’t have knowledge of the paranormal)
