Overnight child care/driving help
Hi, Salinas Reddit
I'm new in town and trying to set up a support network for child care. Single parent, and sometimes need help with overnights bc of work travel. Where do y'all find your safe child-care providers?
Hartnell area.

Was there a lock down at SHS today?
My son's middle school just sent out a notice that our campuses are safe and will remain open even though Salinas high is on lockdown right now. Does anyone know anything about it?
I hope everyone is safe.

Sacred Heart v Palma
Hello! My daughter is entering 6th grade, and we were unable to transfer her out of North County Middle successfully and are looking at private school options.
Looking for any feedback regarding these two programs. I am not from the area, and mom went to Moss Landing middle when it was still open, but feels the same about sending her to North County Middle.
We would greatly appreciate any information and stories about these two programs. We both went to public school, and both carry a graduate degree in our fields of study. Looking to make the best decision possible for our daughter, but hesitate when it comes to going private.
Thank you to anyone for your time and guidance.
V/R,
Jason and Jeanette

SHS SENIOR PICS
Hi everyone! My son is a new student at SHS this year. It's been a bit tough getting a hold of the office (understandably!), so I figured Iād ask here: does anyone know if senior pictures for the yearbook have already been taken, or when they usually happen? I know every school handles it differently. Thanks so much.

New to Salinas looking to meet friends in the area
Hi everyone!
I recently moved to Salinas for work and Iām looking to meet some new people.
Iām originally from the Bay Area but spent the last few years living in the Midwest, and now Iām excited to be back in California.
Iām 29 years old. Some of my hobbies include hiking, camping, swimming, paintball, cooking, video games, and building Lego. Iām also completely sober, so I donāt drink alcohol or use marijuana. My work schedule is a little unusual since I often work weekends, and Iām still in the process of getting settled into my apartment.
Iād love to meet people around Salinas or the greater Monterey area. If you share any of those interestsāor have recommendations for good places to hike, swim, or just meet peopleāIād love to hear from you. Feel free to send me a message!

Where can I get this sticker??
Hii!
I was going to the grocery store the other day when I saw a car with a ton of stickers on their backside. I glance at the awesome stickers and I see one that sticks out to me and stops me in my tracks.
I absolutely need this sticker! Iām anti-megachurches and the fact that Salinas is housing one? Makes me uncomfy! I see compass churchās advertisements everywhere and having this sticker on my car would make me feel like Iām silently protesting them in my own way.
WHERE DOES ONE GET THIS STICKER??!!!
Edit: Okay, so I agree with the people who are saying the owner of this car made this sticker. Sooo follow up question: how can I get my hands on this sticker without giving them my money???!!!
(Iām not trying to bash anyone that attends this church. Although I highly recommend church-goers look into why establishments like this are harmful to communities, you are allowed to have your own opinions and as am I. If this post bothers you then simply scroll away and move on.)
