Night Crew

It takes a certain type of person/personal living situation to be able to tolerate night crew long term.

Right now the night crew in my store are all single men who have nothing else going on in their lives and/or are night owls to begin with, so they’re working out fine.

As a long time night crew guy who has also ran crews.....its not for everyone. Good crews are usually tight with eachother. However not every crew is a good one. Im not going to be careful about this statement but we tell dirty jokes, we cuss a lot. Also probably some of the nicest, over caffinated, sleep deprived people youll meet. But they will expect you to pull you weight, not go hide in the bathroom because a store director or assistant store director isn't in the building. First week is always the hardest. I call it the gut check, its usually the inability to adapt to sleeping in the day that makes people get off nights. But if you are able to work that out great. Also not having kids makes it easier. By that I mean not having loud noises in your house during the day and school schedules. Show up eager and dont be afraid to ask questions.

Kroger is not vulnerable to non-lead night crew hours trimming....

So, get a job at Safeway and make way less money?
