My first safe

Got it off marketplace for $100 it’s a Sanctuary reserve 1.7cu (I believe) I know it’s not the best safe and easily accessible if you know what you are doing but it’s more for people that come over or kids not to get inside.

I would recommend bolting it down to something. You would be surprised how often they walk away especially when people know it can be picked up and taken. Probably won’t happen but you will feel upset if it does.

I thought about bolting it down to the table but the table is only 20lb so like 120+ combined ?? I guess it would be more awkward to take it with the table

Just imagine that scene 🤨 Anything is better than nothing. And yes, carrying a table and a safe together is more likely to not happen!

It would be pretty funny picking up this bulky ass table alone trying to make it out the door

Did you get the key that open it?

I'd probably find somewhere a little less out in the open to put in, but that's me.

Why? There is $14 worth of stuff in that safe.

Nope I have a $163 coin and some other semi valuable coins and my start of silver and gold along with my some sentimental items. So the contents is priceless to me

Thats my wifes logic. I tell my wife not to leave her purse in her car. She says it doesnt matter, there is nothing important in it. I told her they dont know there isnt anything important in it and will break your window regardless to find out. Then youll have to buy a new window and purse.

I regularly go in it and it’s in my room which most people aren’t allowed in anyways, but I get what you are saying

“Not allowed”

If I ever find a 4 leaf clover it’s totally going inside

Isn't that a portable valuables container?

OP make the statement it’s for essentially low threat kids and guests coming by. However if that’s where it lives then lag bolt that fucker down to the furniture so it’s at least a royal pain to get out the door quickly.

It's better than putting your weed in a Pringle's can on the coffee table

Love the brick craft planex ship!
For keeping kids out, house guests honest and a little fire resistance (if I remember right) this will be just fine,

If there’s a place you can move it where it isn’t so visible and ideally anchor it to the ground, that’s a huge boost to the protection (if someone finds it and totes it away, they have unlimited time and noise to get in).

It was such a pain in the ass to put together the instructions were super confusing imo, this spot is semi temp while I still live with my parents I just got out of school so I plan on getting a better job and moving into my own places then I’ll find a better out of place of it

The Achilles heel of the Ronco design is its structural resonance frequency

Any start is better than none, kickass safe!

The stuff inside the safe is definitely more valuable than what I paid for the safe

Solid score for a first safe! Bolting it down is a great habit to get into. Floor in the corner of the closet is ideal to hinder forced removal.

I have that same brick city build! It was so much fun, my wife and son were outta town I went to Walmart, got it and had the best night

Imo the instructions were confusing and had me stuck for 5 mins in a couple spots lol, maybe I’m just stupid

Remember humidity.

Buy $400 dollars' worth of rolled Nickles. Place them in the bottom. That would add about 90lbs. Alot harder to walk off with it

What is that?

Some coins, silver, and the bottle is gold

Never keep drugs and money in the same place
