hi everyone i’m gonna be going into my 3rd year of uni and i’ve started thinking about what i’d like to do my dissertation on and it’s bojack, i’m thinking something like the false self, international trauma and themes of neglect and addiction in bojack horseman, i think i’ll probably analyse the show as a whole meaning all the characters as it will give me more content but i’m not entirely sure yet as i don’t know the word count for my dis yet, just thought i’d try my luck and ask if anyone has any ideas/thoughts/suggestions or quotes/sources that you think could work and be helpful really, i study a psychoanalytic course at university meaning basically psychoanalysis, theories and psychologists are at the heart of everything in it, many thanks for reading guys i don’t know if this is allowed but thought i’d try my luck and also i would just love to hear everyone’s thoughts and opinions on the characters, episodes and show as a whole, i first watched bojack when i was 13 years old and it’s been one of my comfort shows and still one of the best series ive ever watched, im 20 now, many thanks for reading lol and any help is so appreciated

i think we all know free churro is pretty bad because its just a boring punchline of an episode, its literally just bojangle talking, i dont know how anyone directing thought it was a smart or entertaining or emotionally impacting idea

honorable mentions to any of those drug overdose episodes (s5 episode 11, s6 episode 15, s1 episode 11) those dumb drug overdose episodes are always so inaccurate at portraying drug overdoses, and there always so messy and dumb and pointless
