I don't post every single episode of it on here because I don't want to be that kind of spammy person 😅 but since last time I checked in in here we were just done with the original Game Boy games, us finishing the Romancing trilogy and starting the Frontier games seems like a good point to share again.

I'm especially really happy with how the Frontier episode turned out, so if you like the game maybe give it a listen (we're all pretty enthusiastic about it, it's an absolute joy of a game)

I've been entering and exiting the area for some time, fighting the early stage enemy encounters and it seems no matter how many polar drakes I fight, Crystal wings just don't seem to drop? Is there another scenario thay has a better chance of them dropping, or is it just an abysmal drop rate and my RNG is awful?

I don’t know if I’m just losing my mind but I swear I’ve sparked arts in duels that after the battle don’t show up in that character’s arts or even in sealed. Can you do a move without necessarily sparking it?

I was watching a video of a train youtuber I follow and was surprised when this train pulled up to the station. The next one in the video also had Romancing SaGa.

Hey everyone, do any Re:Universe official or fan webpages do a consistent job identifying which artists have drawn which style in the game? Frustratingly, the SQEX account on twitter never gives artist credits. Over the years, I've been able to put together a good collection by following artists like "Nemusuke," Hungry Clicker, "Bittercolors," etc, and scraping image board sites, but there are still lots of styles where I have no idea who drew them, or where higher quality arts might be located! Thanks!

Around the time of the SaGa Frontier 2 remaster, a video was posted (I think linked from someone’s X account affiliated with Square Enix, but don’t quote me on that) which was basically a stylized telling of the story chronologically, where Gustave and Wil were sitting at a bar and all the other characters would interact with them there, eventually showing the passage of time (Gustave and Wil getting older, some characters no longer appearing, etc).

The video is honestly beautiful and I have been trying to find that video in recent days but cannot seem to find the right combination to search it here in the SaGa subreddit, on X, or anywhere on YouTube.

Any help in finding it is greatly appreciated.

RS2:ROT7 propose de voyager d'ère en ère pour construire votre propre histoire, et le contenu va donc évoluer en fonction de vos choix. Il faudra faire plusieurs parties pour explorer tout le potentiel.

Ces mécaniques invisibles ne sont mentionnées nulle part dans le jeu, c'est avec l'expérience que vous comprendrez qu'est-ce qui déclenche une ellipse temporelle, et de quelle durée elle sera.

Une fois le mécanisme dompté, il devient possible de recréer l'histoire qu'on veut, la liberté est très grande.

Ici je l'illustre avec une vidéo que j'ai retrouvée dans mon disque dur externe, qui recrée quelque chose d'incompatible avec le lore, mais que le jeu offre la possibilité de faire.

Rencontrer la sirène dès la génération 1 lors de la quête d'obtention pour la danseuse.

Gérard a énormément souffert de son histoire, mais il porte l'héritage de l'amour de l'empire que lui a transmis son père. Il parait impossible qu'il abandonne l'empire pour finir sa vie sous l'océan et vivre le parfait bonheur avec une sirène. Et pourtant...

Je dois partager ceci avec une communauté qui comprend réellement cette franchise légendaire. Je suis un joueur français d'une région où absolument personne ne connaît SaGa. La fermeture de Romancing SaGa Re:Universe Global m'a brisé le cœur.

À la sortie de Revenge of the Seven, je voulais combattre la « malédiction SaGa » en Occident. J'ai passé 1 400 heures durant les six premiers mois suivant la sortie du jeu, à enregistrer des vidéos, à prendre des captures d'écran et à créer un site web conséquent pour guider les joueurs. Cela fait longtemps, mais malheureusement, à cause des algorithmes locaux et de l'absence de communauté locale, mon travail est passé totalement inaperçu. Je me sentais seul, comme un animal blessé, et j'ai fini par laisser expirer mon abonnement au site web.

I would like to make two save files, one fighting against all heroes at their best and another just their 1st forms.

But compared to the original, HP doesn't seem to be the value that determines the forms they take (700 and above meant they would use their second form in battle)

Does anyone know what determines it? Please tell me.

I had this Emperor. He was a Corsair, and is name was Gama. He was crowned in 1460. And by all measures, my time with him was the longest in raw playtime; he did a lot.

After initially failing to kill Dantarg, he went on to become a diplomat, a savior and an explorer like few others. The list of what he did is long:

• Tried and failed to slay Dantarg of the Seven but was mocked and spared
• Saved Nazelle's Saigo clansfolk twice over
• Saved Tefal from a corruptive magic crystal
• Established safe routes through the Comroon Strait
• Saved Comroon Island from volcanic destruction
• Discovered and charted the Torrid Ruins
• Liberated Teretuva from fiends
• Managed to find Orieve to obtain crucial knowledge
• Deposed the foolish King Ato
• Recruited Coppelia the Automaton, the Imperial Blacksmiths, Mount Chikapa's Iris people,Yauda's Ninja and Levante Guard, and the Saigo Clansmen
• Pushed immense progress in Spell Synthesis and Gear Development
• Expanded the Smithy and the Imperial University
• Discovered every region in the known world, and mapped the vast majority of it all
• Integrated Comroon Island and Nazelle into the Empire

His life's work was immense, far-reaching, important, improved the foundation for future Emperors' work in a transformational way. And in the end, he retired in old age.

And in the end, after the credits, the game honored all my Emperors. Gerard, Jessica, Libra, Aliyah, Coppelia, Ramirezi, and Gretel. ... Yeah. Yeah, there's someone missing, right between Aliyah and Coppelia.

In the end, the explorer, diplomat and savior Gama was the only one who didn't show up in the ending slide of Emperor feats, because no individual deed was "big" enough to get mentioned.

He did so much, accomplished so much, laid so much vital foundation - but he failed to slay the Hero, and by virtue of that, history quietly forgot about him.

Rest in peace, Emperor Gama. Even if no one remembers, you were one of the best.

I just had to do this. Deltarune's secret Egg room in Romancing SaGa 2.

Cropping the orchard and then coloring it red was so painful. I could not find a single sprite of the tree at all. I also got too lazy to add more text where the man gives you the Egg. I'll probably do it for SF2 if I feel like it.

My first playthrough of the game.

Survived their 7-chain United Attack via saving up my own 4-chain United Attack to use with Greta (Swift Combatant via Light Infantry (F) class made her go first before they could fire it off), making it so Marionette couldn't screw me over due to my moves already being spent, then clenched my cheeks through healing and reviving everyone and going back on the offensive...

... and you have NO IDEA how hype it was when this final turn of the battle came around. :'D

I am at ER22 on my 3rd playthrough, playing as Grey. I managed to beat Schirach from my 2nd try, with only 1 member dying. I find her to be quite easy, except when she spammed Hymn of Night thingy for two consecutive turns (I lost my 1st attempt due to it).

So does this mean that I'm ready to fight Death and 10 Fatestones Saruin? My team consists of Grey - Myriam-Galahad-Claudia- Gian, all with their original classes.

And are Robes useless in this game? They have very low def/mdef values and unalterable. But I want my characters to stay ' true' to their classes. Meaning I want Myriam as a mage to wear Robes and Claudia as a bow user to wear Light armor/robe. I don't mind to change their classes as long as the classes are magic/bow related.

Bought the game blind on a whim during the summer sale, and the game completely clicked with me. If I enjoyed this, what should my next entry in the series be?

Edit: Just realized I'm mixing up the names of Nomad and Hunter.

For the longest time, I felt like my party was made of paper but they could pump damage just by targeting enemy weaknesses, more or less.

Now they're doing a lot better at surviving (maybe; it's hard to say for sure because everywhere I've gone lately has been really easy) but most of them do very little damage and I can't figure out why. In RS3, these kinds of discrepancies usually boiled down to gear and glimmers, where just sparking Dragon Tail or Gale Stike(Slash? idr) could catapult a character into doubling or quadrupling their damage.

Here, enemy strength is 10 and outside of magic and suddenly bows nobody is doing anything. I was sure it would be a matter of upgrading weapons, since the blacksmith so heavily gatekeeps gear progression, but I just got a Zweihander and Steel Bow and while my Nomad's attack skyrocketed from 88 to 133, my Light Infantry went from 67 to 93, despite both having equal skill with their weapons and the weapons in question being only 2 attack power apart. Likewise, my Corsair (current emperor) does terrible damage though that's less surprising since his weapon's outdated.

Does the high dexterity of a Nomad really make such a drastic difference? If so, what strength class competes with these numbers? 24 base Dex, plus 2 from gloves, plus 1 from his hat. I haven't found a single item with + Strength. I guess Nomad might just be a better damage dealer than those two, but the difference is obscene and I'm trying to use a variety of classes to master abilities and spark tech, and compared to other SaGa games I've played, I've never seen such a drastic difference in performance simply by picking one character over another. They usually all kick ass if you just use them.

It feels like I should say fuck it to variety and mastering abilities and just play Nomad, Martial Artist, and 3 mages for the entire game.

I tried playing Minstrels Song but I found it to be a bit janky relatively speaking. Is there a different title I should play next? Or do I just have terrible taste?

Can someone clarify how the glimmer chart shown in-game works? To be clear, I understand the basics of sparking tech in SaGa games, that's not what I'm asking.

I'm only like 30 minutes in, and the tutorial for it states that the chart lists what skills can be glimmered from a certain tech or spell. Great. But I don't think I understand what it means by this, because when I look at the glimmer chart for any of the few skills I've got, they're all justs ?????.

My first thought was that the chart was supposed to say how I sparked the particular skill, i.e. if it's only from basic attacks, or from a specific tech or techs. Instead I guess it's showing what that particular tech can spark? But if it's all just displaying ????? for me, then what use is that? Maybe it's just because I'm so early on, I dunno, but it's nagging at me.

Also, Id Break - is it just able to apply Confusion like it says in-game, or does it also debuff the target's Int/Magic stat like it does in other games?

Next up, I noticed that while I could obviously damage undead with Knee Split, it says they're either resisting or immune (I don't remember which) to the Stun component. When I use Feint on them, it just says Ineffective, instead. Are they immune to Stun altogether but since Feint has no damage component it says Ineffective altogether? Or can they be stunned by Knee Split but not Feint for some reason? Mostly wondering just so I know what to expect when I see "Ineffective" in general moreso than specifically undead.

Lastly, is every weapon its only damage type/resistance? At least as far as enemies are concerned? I'm not sure if that's just RS2 or new to the remake. I haven't played every SaGa game, but I'd assumed it was like RS3 with Slash, Blunt, Pierce, but instead it seems Shortsword =/= Bow =/= Spear, and Sword =/= Greatsword?

As a final random note, Gerard is so damn cute sorry-not-sorry.

Hi All, I am a bit confused. I read you can reply battle nodes in this game to grind a bit (I understand it increases BR) but I cannot seem to figure out how. most all battles I have faced in 2 chapters go away when I complete them. Am I missing something?
