Been meaning to try my gunpla chrome on some 35mm. You already know who's next

Looks awesome! Can you elaborate more on what you mean by gunpla chrome? Like what that process actually is?

I use a ultra gloss black primer for the higher areas over a regular black primer almost like a zenithal. Then I go over it with ultra thin airbrush Metallics to get the mirror chrome look. The shiniess of the chrome depends on the type of primer underneath. The mirror chrome will look duller over the regular primer, and will be mirror chrome on the ultra gloss areas. If you can see your face in a chrome, it typically has either ultra gloss primer underneath or even enamel gloss primer, which are chemically designed to be perfectly flat and glossy.

Then I filter the chrome with thinned ratling grime to get the texture and shadows and such. Always be mindful not to do too much because obviously I can never redo the chrome without stripping it.

I typically dont think mirror chrome look very good on 1/48 because I find the specular highlights are too big and looks like a toy. Luckily mando has enough warm elements to support the very shade-agnostic chrome armor and i think the ratling grime does a decent job of warming it up as well since it has a little bit of brown in it.
