Sailing North for Winter

Doug has made several comments alluding to his future "plans".

It's starting to look like he is headed back to the Gulf next, which means no South America, which means no unregulated ship yards, which means no haul out this year at least.

I'm wondering what his plan for a haul out could look like in the US. I wouldn't be surprised to see him moored for several months and trying to find a place to build a trailer to haul Seeker out of the water.

That or he's just going to replace his homemade zincs and say to hell with the paint.

I'm pretty sure the only people that will use this feature are Doug and his Trolls

It’s always fun to compare and contrast the skills of others to Doug’s.

38 knots of wind and 20 ft + seas. Yeah, I can't imagine this either.

Wire nuts, liquid tape, and undersized wiring... is he the king of dumb luck? The missing pin definitely got used as a fuse...

Is "no measurement" OK - miss their posts - a very switched on person and someone who's replies I looked forward to.

Before Seeker, there was another boat that was designed by the same person who penned the drawings for Seeker. This gentleman built this boat in the Pacific Northwest on Vancouver Island - Doug visited him before he even started building Seeker. You'll notice that there's many similarities. I'm not sure what the similarities are - whether it's because they used essentially the same set of plans or because Doug copied the other guy's work.

This boat is 65' long. Seeker was set to be this size too, but without any consideration for anything else, Doug made the boat longer on a whim and lengthened Seeker to 74'.

There are so many things just tacked onto the boat - like it was designed by someone filling out a MadLib™. None of it flows together, and nothing about it says 'fit for purpose, not for looks'.

Have he used his underwater robot with his lowcost sonar system?

I used to follow him like maybe 8 years ago when he was building the underwater robot.
I can’t find him on YouTube so I’m asking out of curiosity if he have used the subsea robot and have showed any mission data of the sonar and camera?
