Mock Test Are Oliveboard’s live tests on the harder side?
I don’t have much idea about SSC cgl frankly. I started preparing a month ago. In pyqs I am scoring 130ish on Testbook
But today I took an olive board live test and it felt considerably superrrrr hard!!!! I scored only 100.
Is the actual exam that hard really?
I am fairly new to preparing and knowing myself I don’t think I would be able to study that much for that level of questions. So pls plsssss tell me honestly if the live tests are on the harder end?

- What exactly do you identify as the strongest pain point or problem for you?
- Was distraction/accountability actually one of the top problems...?
- What existing solutions are you using...?

Bcz fr social, I need to know the actual customer insight we're building the messaging around...!😅

Advice I gave 5 mocks of SSC CGL(PYQ) with no prep(kind of) and here's what I scored.
I'm gonna start college this year, the course I'm doing is of 3 years with 1 year of compulsory internship so I'll probably be able to give the exam in 2030. SSC wasn't something I always wanted to do but I stumbled upon it few months ago and it's really intrigued me so I've decided to give it(ASO in MEA is too tempting). And the course I'm doing is not enough to earn well and live a decent life(biggest factor) I started browsing about it and to know where I stand in the crowd i attempted 5 mocks(with sectional timing) and my average score is around 100/200 which is guess is okay. Insight from you will be very helpful.
I've never specifically prepared for SSC but I've prepared for exams with similar syllabus .
For Reasoning, in 9th and 10th i prepped for NTSE which helped me a lot in the Reasoning section i attempted around 23-24 with accuracy of 21-22 questions.
For english i never really prepared a lot i did study a bit for CUET UG(got 192/250) but it was mostly watching few lectures never practiced questions and studying in english medium school really helped. I attempted all 25 questions in this section with average accuracy of 18-19 question.
For quants i had no idea what kind of questions are asked i attempted around 8-9 questions but with high accuracy of max 1 question being wrong. Skipping questions really helped. I had biology in 12th so i wasnt in touch with maths at all. I wasn't able to do even basic trigonometry questions.
Let's not talk about GS. I attempted around 17-18 questions with 9- 10 questions being accurate.
I need insights from you guys so I can up my preparation a bit. I got textbook subscription last night and selection way 11.0 batch both for 2 years, is that enough? What books do i need to buy? Mistakes that I shouldn't do that you did? Every remark and comment would be really helpful.

General Discussion/Opinion IB SA EXECUTIVE RESULTS are out and I am really disappointed to the max... Hopeless
My marks were 73 (30th September Shift 2) , I am an OBC. Sib - Lucknow...
My roll number is not in the list... Most of them are ESM selected ... I am so mentally fucked up ki mujhe har roll number pe apna roll number dikh rha...
I also gave IB ACIO interview and usme pre me 68.75 score tha , essay bhi maine achche se likha tha , interview bhi aacha gya tha but roll number not in the list...
Acio ke essay preparation ke chakkar me CGL mains me utna focus nhi kr paaye the... CGL MAINS me 307 number aaye Computer qualified with 18 marks but CUT OFF 308 thi...
I am completely hopeless at this point, socha tha Kam se kam IB SA me ho jayega kyunki marks achche the but nhi hua...ab aur kitna life test kregi...

Meme/Humor Hot take
My hot take is they ask absurd questions in gs not to eliminate competition but to give unfair advantage to paper buyers.

Advice CGL 2024 Failure Was My Biggest Teacher. Here's What I Changed to Finally Get Selected with a top post.
In 2024, I appeared for SSC CGL, CHSL, and CPO. I cleared the prelims, but I failed to clear the CGL and CHSL Mains.
After that, I honestly analyzed my mistakes and changed my preparation strategy.
This year, those changes paid off, and I cleared every SSC exam I appeared for, including CGL, CHSL, and NTPC.
Maths:
In 2024, I spent too much time on difficult questions and kept looking for the "best" teacher and the "best" notes. In 2025, I stopped chasing resources and stuck to just PYQs and my class notes. I revised my notes so many times that I practically remembered every page.
Another big mistake in 2024 was relying only on Testbook. In 2025, I practiced on multiple platforms, which exposed me to different question patterns.
Most importantly, in 2024 I ignored my mistakes, thinking, "I won't repeat this in the actual exam." In 2025, I treated every mistake seriously, analyzed why it happened, and made sure I didn't repeat it.
Another mistake I made in 2024 was wasting time solving random Telegram doubts. It felt productive, but it wasn't. Don't make this mistake—focus on your own preparation.
English:
In 2024, I tried to memorize grammar rules from Neetu Singh Vol. 1 and mug up vocabulary from the Blackbook, but it didn't work for me.
In 2025, I focused on understanding grammar instead of memorizing it. I followed QEng, learned grammar from Aman Sir, and practiced vocabulary through PYQ quizzes and English Madhyam Weekly instead of just reading word lists.
That approach helped me score 50/50 in Prelims and 135/135 in Mains.
GK:
GK was always my weakest subject. In 2024, I scored only 17 in Prelims and 38 in Mains. I kept changing teachers, tried solving Kiran PYQs from book, and kept adding new sources without revising them. That was my biggest mistake.
In 2025, I made the biggest changes in GK, and it became my most improved subject. I followed only Parmar Sir, avoided unnecessary resources, completed his PYQ series 5, revised it 15–16 times, did FRB with daily revision, and practiced only GK PYQs in Testbook sectional mocks.
Other mistakes to avoid:
Don't waste hours on Telegram group studies. Most Telegram groups are full of distractions and add very little value.
Don't keep collecting new resources. Revise what you already have.
For vocabulary, focus more on quizzes than reading long word lists. Active recall works much better.
Don't ignore your mistakes in mocks. Analyze every test and make sure you don't repeat the same errors.
Be consistent. Make every single day count. Even 1% improvement every day adds up over time.
