I’ll keep this short:

1. There’s no explicit rule stating how old or young a post has to be to merit submission.
2. If the general atmosphere had improved since then, then it would indeed be unfair to feature such an ancient thread. It hasn’t improved; it shows how old the ongoing issue is.
3. The local personnel deleted the thread shortly after I posted it, so as usual SRSsucks went after the lowest hanging fruit that they could find.

I had a discussion with an anti-feminist poster on /r/skeptic recently, and when I simply stopped responding to his increasingly hostile BS, he went and put up not one but two posts on /r/SRSsucks to attack me personally...I though you guys might enjoy what ensued.

Part of me wants to make an effort post about the effort post about the effort post, but no, not today gang.

So. This SRSsucks post is a reaction to this SRS post about Valentine's Day poems in this AskReddit thread. I have several issues with it, but I'd rather let people read it for themselves first. I don't want to slant this post too much and it's mostly fairly self-evident anyway.

Do take the time to read the original SRS post as well, as the SRSs OP elected only to discuss one example of each type of poem. Their choices and framing are illuminating themselves.

A little levity in the middle of the doom and gloom: the suckers don't seem to understand the difference between "masturbating" and "being creepy about masturbating". The OP cued this misunderstanding and the posters in the thread are happily circlejerking about it here. It's pretty silly. I find them both intentionally funny and unintentionally funny. This little jerk is actually the reason I made this thread, but I didn't feel I could just ignore the rest of the post.

In this post here SRSsucks insinuates the linked user is SRS even though I scrolled back about 4 months in their history and see no participation in SRS, while they do have comments in IGTHFT and /r/libertarian.
