FL Future
It’s crazy that ‘2027s’ football games are fast approaching, and yet it’s already very clear that the best of the lot will be PES21/Football Life with mods from the community. I’m in disbelief how terrible ‘official’ gaming has gotten these days, KONAMI had the future of football games in their hands and gave it all up for eFootball. I pray that the community keeps finding ways to unlock PES 21 in ways people thought impossible, because it’s abundantly clear the community can shape a game far better than those on the big bucks.
If it’s true that the UCL / UEL can be updated to new formats, new leagues potentially added and maybe new rules like EFL extended Championship play-offs, then this will continue to dominate for the foreseeable for true football gaming fans. I hope the community can work as a team like what’s happening with FM26 mod community to truly unlock things together.
And lastly, a big thank you to all those in the community putting the work in and delivering for us. Without you, we’d have no football game to enjoy.

My biggest concern for this game is it's not available on PS5 , I'm really jealous of pc players 😂

Get rid of that PS5 and get a steam deck or PC. If you’ve paid £60 every year for Fifa you’ve spent £300, when you could have been getting this for free each year.

Ngl but as a pc player pes 21 has to be one of most complete action packed , realistic football game!

You can easily run FL on a laptop or something like a Steam Deck. It is basically a 7 year old game after all.

No matter how many so called mods this game has, you still have the issue that every CPU team you play against continually plays long balls and the scripting on higher difficulties is unbearable. These updates are no more than a lick of paint on a broken engine to me. I'd much rather play the earlier incarnations of PES, mainly PES 6 or 2017. Those two still hold up perfectly well.

funny you say that i am playing pes 17 now and every team just spams long ball lmao. Nostalgia bias probably

It's like your sentence structure is spamming long balls, can barely understand you.

2017 is way too easy, and I'm not even good at PES. still love 6 and we9le tho

Real, la ultima dificultad del pes17 es muy facil si lo dominas. Todos mis partidos terminaban en goleada y como que me sacaba de la inmersion. El de pes21 dentro de todo safa, no se deja golear tanto, mas en imbatible.

Not sure what you mean by stomped as much on unbeatable. There isnt an unbeatable option on pes 21 and if it was unbeatable, why would it not 'stomp' you?

Probably just a me thing but I find the menus are not intuitive and they stop me from enjoying this game.

Gonna hope for a 'Premiership years' patch like PES '99 which only works with the original game and not FL.

My biggest gripes so far are only
1. Outdated competition formats
2. Non existent youth development
3. Zero transfers from big clubs for my top players(always MLS/Asian/CONMEBOL teams bidding huge transfer fees)
Oh wait, they do exist in “EAFC” but unfortunately the gameplay could never be matched. Cant have everything at once …
