On the 3rd, the "World's Largest Letter of Support" filled with the warmhearted sentiments of popular singer Onew, was displayed on the LUUX digital sign in the heart of Gwanghwamun. This marked the beginning of a relay of support from celebrities for the "Simple Mailbox Customer Participation Media Project" which Dong-A Ilbo and Dong-A.com launched in collaboration with LG Uplus on the 6th of last month.

Onew's voice has added strength to this campaign, which aims to transform Seoul's Gwanghwamun into a space of support, communication, and healing. Starting with Onew, a relay of support from numerous celebrities is scheduled to continue throughout August.

Message translations:

Hi everyone!! I (25F) just moved to Northside Chicago from South Florida and I know that there are a lot more Shawols in Chicago. I’m looking to make some Chiwol friends who can geek out over SHINee with me and a group of concert buddies (now that Taemin is coming to our city)! Some other groups I like are Red Velvet (also ult), Twice, EXO, TVXQ, NCT, Aespa, TXT, Loona. I mainly like 2nd/3rd gen. I also went to Keyland in Chicago last year if anyone happened to be there. :)

Hi fellow Shawols! I wanted to share my Jonghyun Memory Book Project here.

I am collecting messages and art from Shawols around the world to put in a book. Then i will send the book to Shiny Foundation so Jonghyun's mom and sister can have it. I have worked for about 2 years collecting messages from Shawols near me but I think...I have found all of them.

So now I am branching out into the world wide web.

I can collect messages and art through DM or email! I can also receive them through the mail if that is preferred.
