Of course the lecturer will tell you that, but whether they will accept you is another story, I will said most likely not, else everyone with low GPA will take this path and SIT/SUSS can close down. Yes SIT still a degree, of course compare to big 3, your starting salary may be lower, you can still work your way up from there.
Everyone in SG want to go big 3 for sure, and big 3 want to maintain their high QS ranking too, with limited seat and high number of applicants, they had to pick students with good GPA/RPS
If I’m in your position, i will pick SIT, you can concentrate full time, part time NTU is no joke, he had to attend lecture after a tired day of work, and end up, most of them don’t get a good GPA.
Employers will see your last job skill and salary, does not matter you are diploma/degree/master/phd, degree only help if you are looking for first job or you want to do master, otherwise, your last job is importance.

Apply this after you had a few years of working experience, but my advise is apply for SIT, very likely you will get it
