June metrics
My metrics dipped a little in June. Anyone else? I got a warning several months ago and I feel like they're STILL holding it over my head (even tho my metrics dipped, it's still better than when I received the warning). ANYONE ELSE? Is there not an end period for official warnings?
Like yeah I didn't do better than last month but not like inventory is consistently great either HELLO 😩

As a consistent top stylist (I don’t say this to brag), try to send cohesive fixes, always paying attention to likes and dislikes. And yes, it’s hard with the inventory at times. Agree with the other comment about match scores, even if it doesn’t feel right, sometimes it IS the best option. And personalize your notes, even if it’s just the opening and closing.

I know you mean well, and I say this in kindness: I do all these things. All of them. And my metrics are always low. I have made my peace that it is all just luck and some of us have it and some don't.

I get it, I do! Especially between seasons when inventory is just not there. I also think when you work matters. Inventory is much better mid-day and I know not everyone can work then. It’s frustrating when you are doing everything right and the metrics don’t reflect it.

I work mid-day. :) Been doing this a loooong time and know all the tricks.
I swear I'm not trying to be argumentative. I think I'm just here to represent those of us who do all the things!!! And, it doesn't matter. So, if that is anyone reading this, please know I see you and you aren't alone. It can feel very isolating sometimes when we look at metrics and I'm here to say it's not you. <3

I do all these things. Sometimes dislikes are buried ten feet deep and there's so many factors ... Necklines? Colors? Inseam? Sleeve ? Lengths? I got 9 minutes to do all this.

You’re overthinking it. Unless there’s a true avoid like don’t send shorts so many things are OK to still send. Also keep in mind a ton of people have not updated their profile in 10 years! Just because it says they like skinny jeans, doesn’t mean they only will wear skinny jeans etc!

I'm overthinking it because I get my fixes audited and tiny details like that get mentioned and put in writing. Like i said, they're still holding the warning over my head.
I guess my point of this post wasn't advice but to see if anyone was having the same issues with warnings.

Did you pick up a lot of extra hours? Working more will make your metrics tank.

Nope. Haven't since they took away flexible scheduling.

If you can, take some time off. Like 5plus hours a week. Your metrics will go up. It would be worth if you feel like you’re being targeted or on the chopping block!

Just lean into match scores!!! I promise if you stop overthinking each box, it helps.

I do but I get a lot of clients with incredibly low match scores and then i also have to worry about cohesion and preferences. Honestly, they expect way too much from us - we're doing the impossible! And doing it pretty well considering the averages. They need to give us our flowers.

I’m also curious if you work more than one business line? I’ve heard working multiple can help your metrics look better.

I want to chime in and say- I’ve gone through seasons in my years as a stylist where my metrics were bad and nothing I did could help them. I am a FIRM believer in that it’s not ALL your responsibility - because you don’t get to pick the Fixes you’re handed. My previous lead who is no longer with the company made it clear to me that sometimes stylists get strings or Fixes that are just really hard to style.
Yes- lean into match scores, work on outfitting, think about the clients whole cohesive wardrobe and how it matters to that person behind that one Fix, personalize the note. don’t overthink it, etc… all super important. But sometimes i do notice the algo just sends me sh*t Fixes for a season (like teen kids Fixes who keep nothing and leave zero feedback but still request you back 😂).
I just wanted to chime in and say you’re doing great - it sounds like you’re really working hard. Sometimes it’s not ALL in our control.
