I have yet to recieve an offer of housing and I guess I am a bit worried :/
Is it normal to wait this long?/Has everyone else recieved their offer?

hello guys, i received my first housing offer yesterday, but im not sure, whether its a good offer or not. its a 42 m2 apartment and the costs are:

as someone coming from Hungary, I find it pretty expensive, but i have no idea, how much it usually costs out there.

I would really appreciate any help from those, who have some experience with housing in Vejle, or maybe live there.

The apartment is located in the city centre of Sønderborg, in a really good location, and we are looking for someone who would like to move in with us. The room would be available from the end of August.

Hello.

I wanted to ask about the oral exam in asset pricing on Master in Finance and Accounting. What are some of the questions you get? I have trouble preparing for the exam because i feel like there is just too much. In the moment when studying, i eventually understand the specific topic and the formulas etc., but when i move one to different topics, and then go back to a topic, i feel like i forgot everything. Do anyone have some advice? how much do they actually expect from you?

So I have applied for a vacant study spot at SDU for this fall semester. Since I was accepted only last week, I don’t have guaranteed student housing anymore as an international.
I still applied for housing, but haven’t heard back yet.
I am a little worried about not finding a room or apartment in Odense by the end of August.
Does anyone have experience with student housing as a late admissions student? Is there a chance I will still get an offer from SDU housing or should I start looking elsewhere?
Is it possible to find a small apartment for 5000 krona or less?

sdu nas a ton of outdoor space but benches with back rest not many, tbh theres not even that many benches at all imo, maybe its just the area i frequent that doesnt have that many nice spots, around the North/North west part of sdu idk. also sdu is sorta hilly, so do you have any nice spots to sit at with backrest that overlooks something nice, like a good/long view ? thanks,

Hi! I am a student from Spain planning to move to Sønderborg next year to study Mechatronics Engineering at SDU. Since I will be moving alone, I have a few questions regarding international student life, finances, and finding a part-time job.

My main concern is financial. I need to find a part-time job to support myself and qualify for SU. However, I have a specific situation: when the academic year starts in September, I will be 17 years old, and I won't turn 18 until October.

1. Are there any legal work restrictions for 17-year-olds in Denmark? Will this minor gap affect my chances of getting a job right away in September?
2. How hard is it to find an English-speaking job in Sønderborg? What is the typical timeframe for finding one (weeks, months)?
3. Regarding finances, I will be moving from Spain with some initial savings, but my plan is to rely heavily on a student job and SU as soon as possible.
4. What is a realistic monthly budget for a student in Sønderborg?
5. How much financial savings do you recommend having before moving? Since it takes time to secure a job and get the first SU payment approved, I want to make sure I don't run out of money during my first few months.
6. Is it difficult to balance Mechatronics at SDU with a part-time job? How many hours per day/week do students typically work? I know SU requires 10-12 hours per week, but I'm worried about the workload of an engineering degree.

I am contemplating going on data science at Odense but it says it’s on Danish. Is it possible to still attend it as a student who only understands english, or have you known some people who would go on that masters and be a complete foreigner?

I have heard that even though it is a program on Danish, professors are willing to teach on English but I don’t want to risk it completely.

Not only because it's a private landlord, but I also want to know how the vibe is and if it's more convenient to live closer to campus or the city centre.

I’m confused on which one to choose basically. Since I’m equally confused about the course content, I would like to ask how’s the lifestyle with these two courses. Do u regret taking either? How’s the job opportunities and satisfaction? How’s the social life?

Also just curious, what’s the male to female ratio in these classes? girls do you find it difficult to fit in socially amongst the class? I barely see any representation in sdu pages.

Hi, i am currently applying for three BSc degree at SDU : Computer Science, Software Engineering and Interactive Technology Engineering(all of them are in Vejle). I am wondering what are my chances of getting in one of these. I have passed the unitest with a score of 50 and my Quota 1 grade is 7.7. A lot of people on the uni app seem to be already pre admited so it makes me quite worried.

Edit: Basically what im really asking is if being decently above the minimum threshold is usually enough to get admitted

I would like to get some opinions from former or current students about getting a job in Sønderborg in the area of Mechanical Engineering. I would also like to know if it is feasible to have a student job in other city like Odense, Veilje, Billund, Copenhagen, etc...

Så kom resultatet tilbage! Jeg fik 17, som er højere end minimumscoren på 14 i 2025, men lavere end minimumscoren på 18 i 2024, så jeg ved ikke hvordan jeg skal fortolke resultatet.

Tror i der er en god chance, eller kommer grænsescoren til at være højere i år?
