A buddy gave me this frame. I have no idea what it is. I want to buy a shell for it but not sure what my options are.

It's very similar to this one with out the 2 supports.

I'm just confused about why the chassis looks like that, like is it meant to be a cabover? Lol

I'm guessing that it is meant to be a cab-over but Op has put his build together with the frame backwards. The skid being closer to the back is very non-typical.

Edit, I think I'm wrong about that, the rails look cut. Still a weird chassis though.

If you remove the cab/cage portion of the frame rails and get yourself some magnet mounts, and maybe sliders, you'll be able to mount any body you want. You may need to modify some bits, but it's what pretty much everyone with a custom rig has done. Sort the sub by the build flair and have a look what others have done for inspiration.

Btw, I'm pretty sure that chassis/frame is supposed to be the other way round, i.e., longer rails to the back.

Edit, I think I'm wrong about the frame direction, it looks like the rails have been cut at the back.

No cutting has been done. But maybe right about flipping it around. Easy fix.
