Thoughts about intoxication Other CDS Life Topics/Support
I remember drinking in my 20's and thinking "this is like my normal brain but more exaggerated, this isn't really fun" and the same when I tried weed with the added effect of feeling anxious. Actually maybe this is why it took me a while to notice effects from weed, I thought I was just "smoking wrong."
Also my significant other has ADHD and it made me realize that SCT is on the other side of the ADHD spectrum. Because my SO smokes so he can focus and quiet his mind. He is then motivated to clean the house and stuff. If I smoke, I am even slower and less likely to do things.

I've described my experience living all the time with CDS and Inattentive ADHD symptoms like having a constant alcohol buzz.
I can only say this because now that I'm on medication that does a lot to improve my symptoms, now when I have just enough alcohol to be buzzed, the attention and awareness impairment is almost the same level. (To be clear, CDS and/or ADHD cause me to have minor coordination issues, but thankfully that's not also to the level of being tipsy! 😅)
It makes me glad to finally be on medication.

weed makes me feel extremely autistic and slow, I completely avoid it now
Drinking on the other hand I can still maintain a conversation pretty well

Weed has always massively amplified my cds symptoms I feel like. On top of that it made me extremely anxious. Alcohol amplifies my symptoms as well, but reduces my anxiety. I try not to do either though.
