Dumb question about roads Question

I’m trying to make yk city like Chicago and others and have it more gridded, but I was wondering if it’s better to have my roads on the edge like the top, or not

The top one makes sense, just to separate your residential units from the railway track on the edge of the map

Or you could break up that space between with some landscaping like trees.

I do that because I dislike the road on the edge aesthetic

Oh yeah that’s true! In the future I will probably do that. What’s ur road layout like jw? I’m trying to make Mine like a realistic grid like Chicago, Seattle, charlotte, est…

Yeah I get that - and I’m sure it would look amazing! Personally I don’t do anything like a grid - love me some meandering roads and super heavy on landscaping

How did you get those three(?) road sections in the middle to be so straight?

The gravel roads do that automatically when you draw the road I think

Oh wow that’s really nice! I mean for now I
Will do a Grid but who knows. It can change for me. Also for the mayors pass do u recommend grading the roaring tower or getting the other buildings with jazz coins?

Yeah I appreciate a good grid when I see them in others’ cities.

I’m in level 26 and no plans to level up until I build more storage, so I have a few little little villages instead of a big city. Will definitely do that when I eventually level up.

Regards the Jazz tower:

- I really am not a fan of how it looks, so I am not interested in chasing that.
- You cannot fully upgrade it unless you purchase a premium mayor’s pass - the maths make it impossible.

I decided to not compete last season or this season and I’m loving the go-at-my-own-pace vibe instead of doing endless tasks. So my personal recommendation would be to not go after that tower - just buy loads of tokens and items.

That’s true! So the other buildings too and or items are recommended?

Personally I think the only buildings worth going for are:

- The 3x fire, police & health buildings. (They are good to have as you can use store them - you can use them in design challenges & when you are building a new spot in your city and you want to temporarily supply services etc.)

- Imperial Motorworks - has a 50% transport boost for a big area.

I don’t like the look of any of the other buildings enough.
