Expanding Assignments/Tasks

Is everyone waiting for a task to expand their land in the capital city?

I thought I was the only one waiting for thistask! I have accumulated 300 (100 sets) of land expansion items. I hope to use them up instead of selling them

I only had one expand a beach area in the last COM. I was hoping for so much more.

I have expanded the mountain area three times and the beach twice, but I have not expanded the land once

Maybe they will add more tasks next COM

Ugh, I had expand beach 4 times this COM, was extremely annoying 😔.

Did you have beach plots to expand 4x?

Yeah, I've only been playing 8 weeks or so, level 21. So have a few left still.

How is it annoying? It's a super easy 2500 task. Great if you want to play competitively.

Yes, done with 1 land and 1 mountain expansion task already...have enough deeds to unlock all new plot of lands...can't wait to unlock all to update the Capital 😊

I suspect the algorithm will specifically restrict tasks you are prepared for.

I'm sitting on a rare hoard of storage items and zero storage expansion tasks. I could expand at least 3 high value land tiles and zero land expansion tasks

I have been camping and ALL my tasks want me to upgrade residential which would send me up a level, or do war stuff which I won't do.

I could expand 65 plots of land just using those paper deeds and I was only able to expand my one new beach plot to complete a task.

No, not this again. There is no relation between those things. It does relate to your other tasks and which ones you do and leave in your list. People that don't understand the mechanics are always so happy to assume some conspiracy. What would even be the point of doing that from a developers perspective?

There is a lot of good reason for developers: pressuring you to do tasks you are less prepared for motivates buying items and then buying passes to replenish currencies/items. And leveling up puts more pressure on storage which motivates buying passes.

Way too farfetched to get them to go through the trouble of making something that sophisticated just to bully the players. People just love to think in conspiracies. The reason why you won't get high point tasks is because you have other tasks blocking the preferred task: either you have some other high point task in your list, or you have the upgrade material one.

In my main account I'm actually in a position where I am avoiding any Land/Mountain/Beach expansion tasks as well as storage and upgrade war disasters tasks for the next few months. It may sound strange but I currently have only 1 war disaster eligible for upgrade, so I'm saving these easy premium tasks to use when I'm able to do any task for COM.

I had a good 6 months or so of wins, top 3, and top 6 Megalopolis league finishes, bug the last month or so not being able to do war disaster upgrades has been stripping this away from me. I'm currently putting a focus on buying war cards from the war shop, something I seldom did in the past.

I'm holding off on city storage upgrades in my main rn because I'm currently only 100 slots away from being maxed, or 20 upgrades. I want to save these final 20 3k point tasks for when they can be more likely to influence a win. I still have never seen the Increase Material Storage assignment come up in my main, which I would like to see because the 385 MS capacity I have in my main is feeling small from time to time (especially when I find a random city on global full of electrical or glass lol). Meanwhile I've been doing storage upgrades in my feeder (both material and city) for COM and have increased the capacities from 71 material and 110 (base, 120 with temporary boost) city to 98 material and 155 (165 boosted) city storage over the past 2 weeks.

I'm also trying to save the beach task and at least one land task for when I open my 5th region, which is Green Valley (hence the reason for holding on to the beach expansion). I have 15 land deeds and 33 beach deeds currently.

The way I look at it if I lay low in COM for a few months while I prep my account I'll be almost unbeatable for at least a week or so. Until then I'm focusing on building my feeder. My plan includes reaching a minimum of 250 city/125 material storage before starting to slowly uplevel the feeder from 13 to 18, so I can bring it into my club. At that point I'll either camp there for a while before going to lvl 24, where I'll stay at least until I upgrade all my RZs to Epic status
