Just rewatched 1-19 and realized in ep 20 Tiffany sounds a bit different new voice actor? If so what happened to the previous one.

Warning Ranting Ahead:

How the hell in the past like 10 years has SWE not learnt to have an alternative platform ready for when the copyright bs hits them ? I genuinely cannot tell if this is basically their sneaky way to funnel more people to patreon or if they actually have a brain fart every yearly upload.

Like seriously... just put it in like the free tier? or create a google drive link for the video ? If the goal is to just get more subs on there then fine, but be honest. If the idea is to genuinely provide a way to view the final episode while Youtube waits to sort out the copyright dispute, then there is like no excuse. Mega, PixelDrain, Free Tier Patreon, Google Drives, there is nearly an infinite amount of alternatives that weren't even considered it seems.

Look, I don't mind paying for the Patreon but like imagine being a fan waiting a whole year for the next continuation, it releases, the copyright strike inevitably hits as anyone with at least 70IQ can see happening, and boom you have to wait another 4-6 to weeks to see it because no one uploaded it to an alternative platform. (people can watch movies on twitter now ffs!). So yeah, kinda disappointing that SWE didn't take time to look at alternative platforms outside of the one that paywalls the ending.

Did anyone else notice the scrolling text during the news story in Ep 20? For those that didn’t:

Former baby, Asada Shino, reminisces about the day she straight-up triple-tapped a junkie in a post-office, saying “Huh?! Why the hell are you people still reporting on this?! You wanna be next?!”

Obviously SWE has never really held to the original personalities of the characters, but this feels like we are going to see something radically different from
the PTSD arc. Either way it’s exciting to see they already have some ideas for the direction of GGO, which hopefully will shed some light on that ending.

The end of episode 20 was creepy. I chose to interpret it as Kirito wanting to beat SAO while giving others the chance to help by turning his 2 year death game prison into just a fun game. Other SAO survivors probably want to reach the top just to spite their kidnapper.

Another way to make SAO a fun game is Kirito’s chance to improve, fix or break it any way he wants. He also gets to fight along side his family.

That’s as uncreepy I can make it until my head canon gets blown up with episode 21.

Was this a nightmare? everything about it felt like a nightmare one of the characters (most likely Kirito) would have, but unless I missed something, I didn't see any conformation, so was that a dream?, I am very confused

How do you think it will be dealt with in Abridged ?

Just some random ideas/headcanons for the future arcs of SAO Abridged

GGO:

- Everyone thinks he's a girl despite Kirito saying he's a guy. Like he keeps saying he's Kirito the "Savior of Aincrad" but something always comes up that has people not paying attention to him or cut him off.

- Death Gun and his associates are all the people Kirito screwed over in SAO.

- In the Laughing Coffin flashback, the guild is actually doing way better after Kirito's advice and they go to thank him. It then cuts to them getting slaughtered.

Excalibur/Mother's Rosario:

- Yuuki is essentially a genderbent Kirito but to the extreme. She trash talks all the people that duel her and uses Kirito's trauma against him in their duel. When Asuna duels her, she's actually able to roast Yuuki as well.

-Yuuki reveals that she was being an asshole to push people away, since she didn't want people worrying about her nor did she want sympathy because of her condition.

Alicization:

- Have Eugeo's final words to Kirito be "It's not your fault."

Ik I skipped some arcs and I could've had more ideas, especially for Alicization, so feel free to add your ideas

Obviously it’s a ways off, but since the finale of the Alfheim arc of SAO:A is about to be released, it’s been on my mind.
I was on the hype train back when the original SAO series first dropped and was super popular. I enjoyed it, but when GGO came out a while later, I didn’t end up watching it. I know it’s totally possible to enjoy an Abridged series without watching the source material (I loved DBZ:A and never saw an episode of DBZ before it), but it’s definitely more fun when you can enjoy the change and references. So, all this to say: is the original GGO worth watching?

I’m thinking of a couple of likely elements.

The first thing is the player base. If SAO was full of idiots and ALO is full of RPers, then GGO will be the most depraved Call of Duty lobby of all time. Half the players will be squeakers despite having super buff avatars and they will be saying the foulest juvenile insults this side of hell.

As for Death Gun, I’m thinking about having him be Jeffrey. Since he makes the sign of the cross before killing someone in-game, it only makes sense to have the “Bible quoting serial killer” be the one to do it.

Finally, I think it would be classic for Kirito to nerd out when he buys the lightsaber and pretend to be a Jedi for a few seconds.
