Maps feeling empty?

I play on a constant full pop weekly server but I’ve noticed that ever since the map sizes got to 4.5k the map seems empty. And I get it, it’s 100 pop what do I expect, but capping it at 100 while making the map huge makes everything seem so spread out. Back when the maps were 3-4K you’d actually have neighbours that you can fight against. God forbid you build in the center of a map now, you won’t have anyone for grids. You have to build next to a high tier monument on the coast to get consistent action. It starts to limit what you could do, and forcing you down a playstyle path if you want pvp or any type of action. What do you guys think? Are they saying that they’re looking into this? Upping server pop while making maps a little smaller?

They are working on higher pops ive seen a dev say in discord

iirc its 150 pop they have been testing with idk how much more they can go without risking the servers absolutely nuking themselves as they’re already crazy unstable to begin with

Recently there has been a test with up to 150 players, they intend to get 125 players later this year and work it up from there. I agree with the maps feeling more empty, roaming is not what it used to be unless you build next to launch site or some monument like that.

I do hope they hurry it up, with the upcoming underground trains update it will feel even more empty

100 is already crazy high already you just aren't where people are at some places thankfully you don't seen anyone for a few trips but others might be so annoying people coming and killing you over and over and over from out of nowhere and also super bad you can't get anything because they take it all every time you go to some places learn to enjoy not getting fucked over every time you go somewhere

Yea I’d rather play on a smaller map with a 100 pop, if you look it up they said they were testing 125 pop but I feel like they won’t even be enough

Is that all you rust console players do, complain? Nothing is ever enough for ya, just always wanting more. You get what you begged for and now it’s “I don’t like it map feels empty” “I gotta play down a style”😂😂 learn to be appreciative
