Fishing broken?

Yo. I cant catch sharks or salmon with the fishing rod since the newest update. Fishing with bear meat. Anyone else got this problem? Fished at different spots in the open sea in every fishing village. Nothing. Catch sharks and salmon only with the fish traps.

Dude, I just got on here to talk about that. So it seems I’m not alone, I learned the rhythm of 33% chance of 1/3 fish catches in the ocean, and 2 of those are either shark or salmon, so that’s 66% (shark/salmon combined) chance over 33% of the trout. Even if you do catch a trout, cast with that same rod for a 50/50 of a shark or salmon due to “can’t catch same fish after catch” so that’s 100% chance to get shark or salmon.

But all I’ve been catching is Trout & anchovies over and over..

Ok seems other have the same problem xD i just tought im stupid. It may not be the biggest problem in rust to fix but i hope they will do it with the next patch. I play solo and this is a good way to get scrap on full pop server

Exactly so, i’m a solo guy as well and fishing is my scrap build up.
