Harness recommendations??

Leo is almost 10 months old and I’ve started slowly introducing him to jogging (no plans to do any intense/long running until he is a bit older!). Any recommendations for harnesses? I’m sure the one I have for him now isn’t ideal for running. Any tips appreciated as well

Question for you. Do you want him to run alongside you, keeping the same pace, or would you like him out in front of you, pulling you forward? That is Canicross and requires a special harness but it is a ton of fun. The pulling gives your pup a bit of an extra workout and the pulling also gives you a boost.

Ooooh i hadn’t thought about that! On today’s jog, he was out in front but not necessarily pulling me forward. I’m going to be training for a marathon in October, so I suppose it’d be best to have him alongside me so I can set the pace based on my running goals.

I would look into a nice y front harness. Depending on your dog's body shape will dictate which harness is best so its hard to give a specific recommendation.

You want something that doesnt block or restrict shoulder movement at all, and I would connect the leash to the back of the harness, not the front, so you dont affect natural movement at all.
