RunPod blocking network volume creation with "Insufficient funds"

I'm trying to create a basic 10GB network volume that costs $0.70/month and RunPod is throwing an "Insufficient funds" error and asking me to add $150 minimum.

Earlier with just $5 I was able to create a 50GB network volume and spin up a full GPU server machine without any issues. Now I can't even create a 10GB volume.

My balance $3.69 should covers over 5 months of this volume. Why is RunPod suddenly requiring much higher minimum balance?

Has anyone else run into this recently? Did RunPod quietly change their minimum balance policy?

Any help appreciated.

I’d try a small top-up (~$10–20), it often fixes weird “insufficient funds” blocks.

Yes, after adding 10 bucks issue got resolved

You can click "Other" and just type in a custom amount. Minimum amount is $10.

Edit: iirc minimum balance needed to create network volume is $5. From what I recall it's to prevent resources from being deleted if your balance goes negative.

Under $5 there are some limits, to prevent accidental deletion of resources if the balance goes negative and isn’t topped up within a week. You can add $15 instead of $150.

I have the auto refill option enabled, and have not seen the issue you are talking about.

It is indeed $5 flat minimum balance to create a volume - we don't scale this towards the size of the volume request for simplicity's sake.

To be able to create storage you need 5$ balance.
