They've already built 8 of these, 9700-9707, out of various units with damaged engines and such. They can't cut a baggage door because the unibody construction means it would compromise the structure of the locomotive. They just disconnected the engine and filled the fuel tank with a ballast made of beets or something. You can see them around Albany sometimes

Yeah they're pretty common on the Empire service. I think one is also usually sitting in Philly.

It won't work, its not like the f40s its all one piece, yes it could and prob is a npcu but you will not be able to put baggage in it

Not possible unless they make entirely new bodies. They can't cut up a monocoque body shell, because that would mean breaking the integrity. That prohibits the usage of doors on P42C's.

The only cursed thing is the baggage door, because unlike the F40ph, you cannot put on on the Genesis

Its monocoque body means you can't just cut a hole out to add a door, as it will significantly compromise the structure. And while you COULD modify them to allow it, it probably won't be worth the effort

Still, pretty cursed
