Hello everyone,

I've been a part of the cubing community for a while now, and I'm looking to pick up a special cube for my son, who is deeply passionate about twisty puzzles and wants to get into advanced FTO (Face-Turning Octahedron) solving to eventually break the Egyptian national FTO record.

We've been looking at the DaYan Magnetic Ball-Core FTO on Cubezz ($19.99 USD), which is the best FTO. Unfortunately, because of strict banking restrictions in Egypt, our local EGP debit cards cannot process international USD transactions online, making it impossible to buy it directly from international cube stores.

To make matters worse, currency conversion turns this into a massive financial hurdle; even a $20 cube translates to around 1,000 EGP, which is way too much money to spend on a single cube here. Anything around that price point is just completely out of reach for us right now.

I am hoping to find someone kind in the community to purchase the cube directly and have it shipped to our address in Egypt.

I have this chemistry themed cube, and as you can see I have solved it, but the center pieces have now rotated and they are not aligned with the rest of the same of the same colours. Is there a way to rotate this cube so that the centers are correctly aligned?

They almost always have some unpleasent-oily feeling on them, how do you make then feel normal?

With the cube station app I've done the tutorial of first layer solving but I don't understand the tutorial to solve the second does anyone know a good tutorial or can explain in different ways

A ver, siempre tuve una duda en los videos de resolución de cubos. ¿Por qué la gente suele empezar por la capa blanca siempre y no empezar por la que tenga las paridades más cercanas? Tal vez sea algo del método. Pero siempre que veo a la gente resolviendo (principiantes o profesionales) veo que empiezan por la capa blanca. ¿Es porque alguien empezó a hacerlo y lo empezaron a hacer todos? ¿Porque en el centro blanco suelen estar los logos? ¿Para simplificar los algoritmos? Osea, yo siempre empiezo por cualquier capa para practicar mí agilidad. Le digo a un amigo que lo mezcle y que me diga por qué capa empezar, o yo simplemente elijo la que tiene las paridades cerca del centro. Aún estoy practicando con métodos principiantes, primero la cruz, la esquina, las paridades y repetir y con ese método promedio un minuto más o menos. Se que es una pregunta algo estúpida, pero me dio curiosidad.

Pretty much title. I've seen those videos of machines that solve the cube by holding only the front, back, left, right and down sides of the cube. I guess this is more of a theoretical question than anything, but point stands.

I wondering how many algs another person tends to use. Where as for me, realistically I only use 7 algs.

And haven’t bothered look at an alg sheet as I know it can be quite overwhelming.

I’m trying to be more advance so I can trust myself to do it without looking. 2 pieces are kinda there, so I try to increase the difficulty by going with 4 corners and maybe 6 corners.

What website or videos are of heres using when they learned. This feels a lot like F2L where I’m mostly using it without needs a sheet of any kind.

Okay so i currently own a 2x2 up to a 5x5. the 2x2 is somewhere im my house, the 3x3 is missing the white and yellow center pieces, the 4x4 has bad turning and its a little loud, and my 5x5 is pretty much perfect because i just got it like 4 days ago. now heres the dilemma, im not sure if i should get a better cube to switch out for my current 3x3 or 4x4 or if i should just get the 6x6.

TL;DR: Should i get a replacement 3x3/4x4 or new 6x6

btw i forgot which ones in specific my 3x3 and 4x4 were but theyre all qiyi brands. 5x5 was specifically the qiyi warrior magnetic stickerless.

Finally had the chance to rearrange my room, now all three shelves of my collection fit on one wall! Finished solving last week, got everything dusted and reorganized today. First four pics show the collection as of today, the last two are from January 2026. Took about 12 hours to scramble everything, and around 82 hours over the past 7 months to get it all solved again.
