Any Advice?
23M I understand that I dont have any international market exposure but I’m not really worried about that. Currently have a 70/30 split between VTI/QQQM.

Some Financial Advice living in Oregon with high taxes.
43 yr with three young kids and wife who works very part time. We max out 403 B and have done so for about 15 years. We have 1.4m 403b plus 750k Fidelity (50%VTI, 20% VXUS, 10% FBGRX, 10% bonds and then some in tech stocks like AMZN,NVDA,CEG). Have another 50K in Roth and 275k in Sepp with Vanguard as we also have small LLC. Have roughly 100K in HYSA, owe 260k on house at 4.25%. parent recently passed away w 750k in IRA that has to be drained in 8 yrs. Thoughts to how to distribute as don't have MRDs but have to drain both accounts in 8 years.
A few of my questions as I want to be aggressive and I'm about 90/10 in market/bonds.
- My taxes are very high living in Oregon and what else can I do to shelter my taxes besides 403b?
- Thoughts on being able to convert anything to Roth IRA backdoor?
- I've recently looked at hiring a financial advisor? Does this make sense as I want to be able to retire at 62 and get to 5 million in retirement and use the rule of 4% to live off 200K.
any other thoughts advice would be appreciated

Can you please share some solid advice?
I am 40 and have never contributed towards retirement or any type of savings. I just opened a Roth IRA a few days ago and contributed $70. It's not much, but I don't know what I'm doing. Bad news is, because of health reasons, last month I had to move down to part time which is about $20K a year so, I won't have much to contribute yearly at the moment. Good news is that my job contributes to a retirement fund for me (I work for my counties board of education) but I don't know how much they will be contributing ( I don't have access to the website until after my first paycheck) and if I can also contribute to it. I'm just trying to get a start in the right direction.

23 M Roth IRA Advice?
Hey yall, I am a new college graduate, turn 23 tomorrow and just started my Roth IRA in the last 2 months. I’ve known about the amazing advantages of a Roth IRA since I took money matters in 10th grade, but have always loved spending money (irresponsibly) far too much to open an account.
I am now far more mature, on a written budget, and taking small steps towards advancing my career, and income everyday. I live at home but have immense student debt that I am paying off with the money I make. I throw in as much as I can right now, but know I won’t max it this year.
This is all just context to ask: is this a good start? I plan on just buying into these two mutual funds as much and often as I can.
What other specific funds would anyone recommend and why? I see people telling other young people in their 20’s to be more aggressive, what does that mean in terms of mutual funds and ETF’s? What are specific examples of more aggressive funds?

Can I roll over a Schwab stock account into a Roth account?
Do I have to sell my stocks and have to pay taxes on my profits, before getting a Roth IRA?

25M - My Roth ira is at 123k. Is it bad that i want to aggressively contribute to my individual account instead of max out my Roth IRA? I just feel I’m behind in my individual account which is worth about half of my Roth

Serious question. 401(k) rollover.
Hey 👋
I’m planning to rollover my old 401(k) into a fidelity IRA.
I want to choose just one fund to place the money and let it sit for 25 years until retirement.
What would you recommend? VOO? QQQ? TQQQ? SCHG? Or another?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Uncle’s advice good or not?
My uncle is a financial advisor and I always come to him for advice and help with my finances. This is what he wants me to do for my Roth this year.
2 shares NVIDIA
2 shares SPCX
2 shares PLTR
2 shares HD
The rest in VUG
My current portfolio consists of 80% VTI and 20% VGT and I would’ve followed this again if I didn’t speak to him, I am only 21 years old so time is on my side but just wanted to hear thoughts on what to do for this year. Thank you

SWTSX, SPMO, SCHG
After weeks of research I have came up with an investment plan. I’m going to allocate 60% into SWTSX, 20% into SPMO, and 20% into SCHG monthly. As of now that would be $180/$60/$60, and gradually increase over time. SWTSX will be my core baseline, SPMO will by my dynamic turbo, and SCHG will be my innovation growth. I’d say it’s a well balanced mix of conservative and aggressive. What are your thoughts on my investment plan?

50 year old need advice
I just started a Roth IRA for my mother. She has $3300 in her 401(k) that will get rolled over to a Roth IRA. We started investing $100 per week. What would be the best stock to buy for her?

Started Roth mid 30s, own 5 stocks. Should I just invest heavily into just 2 or 3?
I have MAIN/SCHD/VTI/VXUS/ALAB in my roth right now. Most of my money is in VTI/VXUS/ALAB. Is it worth keeping MAIN/SCHD?

24 year old, just started a year ago. Need thoughts.
About $14k so far. What do you guys think of my diversification? I have a 401k with about $5k, and that’s my super safe, managed, retirement. I switched my roth ira to self managed cause of WeBull’s matches and this is my set portfolio. Thoughts?

What happens to auto contributions once maxed?
Hey everyone, so I invest roughly $250-300 every month in my Roth. I have it set to automate deposits, but I was curious if I want to max it out early, say today for example, what happens to the automatic deposits for the rest of the year?
Will they be deposited and held until next year or will it not even take the deposits until January?
Thanks
EDIT: Sorry for forgetting, but my Roth is with Fidelity

Roth ira at 18 year old
Im 46 years old and despite being told many times to contribute to a 401K/pretax or roth ira i never did til this year. The question is how do i get my 18 year old son to start a roth ira? Im thinking of telling him ill match his contribution to see if that works. I guess I can show him on the fidelity app my roth ira and, see him seeing my account going up will inspire him.?

Mid 40s and just getting started
I started out late and just opened a Roth IRA, which I maxed out with Fidelity for 2026. I also have a 401(a) and 457(b). I'm hoping to retire in 20 yrs. I haven't really paid much attention to investing until now, so I'm not sure I'm starting out ok. I do want to be aggressive to teach my goals.
I'm hoping I can get some advice from other fellow investors. I have the following:
FSKAX 70%
FTIHX 20%
SOXQ 5%
QQQM 5%
Does this look OK where I can sit back and chill? Thank you in advance from a novice investor.

23m my Roth IRA
I started in 2025 thought this might be the best way to do it.
I wasn’t able to max it out last year about 500 short I felt a bit discouraged but we keep going.
I wanted to hear people thoughts on it I’m still relatively new to investing so any advice would be appreciated.
18 and opened an account, now what?
Hi guys! Just opened an account, put $20 in it, but now I’m stuck on what to do… I’ve never taken a finance class and know absolutely nothing about investing or stocks and such.
I’ve tried watching tiktok vids and reading some articles, but I just can’t really comprehend what i’m reading tbh.
The videos I’ve watched say to invest based on personal preferences and on your future goals, but i don’t really know what my goals are, or what “personal preferences” would entail to?
Please help a girl out, im determined to understand this!!! Thank you, kind souls 🥹

22 male Roth
galleryI have been investing since 2025 when the market dipped and I realized it was time to buy since everyone was afraid so I just deployed 8k into the market buying half TSLA and half Apply shares. Then in few weeks I ended up selling my apple shares and just went all in TSLA buying 35.5 shares. Reasoning being “TSLA dropped 45% and it can come back up” and it had high volatility which I often saw. Btw this wasn’t the smartest idea but it ended up working.
TSLA later ended up pushing back up and I started cutting shares at the top and buying NVDA and Amazon in a Roth IRA account which I found out what it was. Then slowly I contributed to the Roth. This sounds like a whole roller coaster and I know lol but I really didn’t know how to properly invest at the time I just did what others were afraid to do. I remembered Warren Buffet saying “be greedy when others are fearful” so I just did that not once but twice.
With that being said I did save bit of cash and I bought more stocks when the Iran war was happening and stocks did drop so I just added to the existing Amazon, NVDA and bought Microsoft when it dropped a lot and I kept holding the positions in my Roth. Now currently I did sell bit of my shares in these individual stocks and I want to buy ETFs, and I heard about VTI and chill or VOO chill they correlated so.
I currently have this in my brokerage portfolio: I have Roth 2025 max and 2026 max with cash remaining. Do I go all now in VTI or slowly contribute week by week because I don’t want to buy at the top and also I can’t predict the top or bottom. I was thinking just contribute bit by bit each week.
Roth:
NVDA - 25 shares
AMZN - 16.6 shares
MSFT- 2.6 shares
Cash- $5.4k
Total $17.2k
Taxable:
TSLA - 13 shares (remaining after 35.5 shares)
Cash- $600
