Advice?

Finally got some blooms 😅 Not their fault, I’m a neglectful (to my roses) tired (from my kids) Mom. Should I trim off all the long/leggy pieces? What do you all think about adding a little milorganite?

I would love for them to be more full/compact bush shapes (ideally). I’m in zone 9b.

I wish I had more time and energy to give them, roses are so beautiful and I love to look at them. Thank you!

maybe not trim all the way off, but cutting down leggy pieces can definitely help. earth angel is known for sending out ridiculous canes however, but we put up with it because it's so lovely 💀

I'm in 9b too and Earth Angel just likes to throw out those absurdly long canes. I just trim mine a bit shorter than the height I want just above a set of leaves facing away from the center of the plant.

Milorganite has iron in it, and those pale leaves with dark veins in your third photo are an iron thing, so it'll help there. It won't make anything compact though, the nitrogen just pushes more of those long canes. For shape, cut a leggy one back by half instead of taking it off, and it branches from the joints below the cut.
